Those who wish may join the optional “Hellesylt & Geiranger Tour” organized by our guide at an extra cost. Two enchanting villages at the fork at the end of Storfjord. Once postal ports in the north, and today among Norway’s favorite cruise ports due to the difficulty of land access, with an annual average of 180 ship calls. We begin our tour by greeting Hellesylt Waterfall... First, the area was the postal route to the north, but today it is a tourism center. We first go to the scenic viewpoint where we will see Hellesylt Fjord and photograph the fjord from there, then continue on our way. Our first stop is the “hamile taşı” and the stone bridge dating back to the 1800s. Then we go to Hornindal Lake, the deepest lake in Europe, and take a break there. After getting back on the road, our next stop will be Stryn, one of the liveliest towns in the region. In Stryn, which the royal family especially visits for fishing, you will see the stone bridge and then be given free time for shopping and coffee/lunch. After a stop at the foot of Lake Djupvatnet, you will be amazed by the view from the terrace of Dalsnibba Mountain at 1,476 meters if the weather is clear. Then we will stop at the Flydal viewpoint and photograph Geiranger Fjord. After our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and overnight stay on board. Our ship will leave the port at 21:00.
