Day 1 Istanbul - Bari (Matera Tour)
At Istanbul Airport, outside the international departures terminal, meet in front of the Turkish Airlines counter. After luggage and ticket procedures, depart to Bari with Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Arrive in Bari local time. Our private vehicle and guide will be waiting for us and together...
We start our city tour of Bari, where we will see the Basilica di San Nicola, the port, and Bari Cathedral. After the tour, transfer to our hotel, check-in, and free time.
For those guests who wish, with our guide, depart for an extra Matera tour (€75). We arrive in Matera, the 2019 European Capital of Culture, located in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy and on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Known as "Sassi di Matera," the city was carved into caves and tufa rocks on the sides of the Gravina canyon during prehistoric times. Its ancient look, living conditions, and appearance attracted Hollywood filmmakers. Films such as Pasolini’s “The Gospel According to St. Matthew,” Ferrara’s “Meryem,” Beresford’s “King David,” Hardwicke’s “The Birth of a Nation,” Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ,” have been shot here. It has also hosted films by Ferzan Özpetek. After the tour with our guide, head back to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Bari (Puglia Triangle Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free. Those guests who wish can join an extra tour known as the Puglia Triangle (€145), which includes Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, and Polignano a Mare. First, we head to Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1995, famous for its unique white, conical-roofed Trulli houses built without mortar by stacking stones. These houses were built to avoid high property taxes during the reign of the kings, allowing residents to quickly dismantle the roofs for inspections. We then continue to Castellana Grotte, home to the world’s oldest caves, with a length of 3,348 meters and depths of up to 122 meters. Our final destination is the seaside town of Polignano a Mare, where high cliffs, white houses, and a blue bay greet us. After sightseeing and a seaside break, return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Bari (Treasures of Puglia Tour)
After breakfast, the day is free. Those guests who wish can join an extra tour called Puglia Treasures (€145), which covers Martina Franca, Ostuni, and Monopoli. Martina Franca is a lesser-known yet rich town nestled among centuries-old olive trees; you will be enchanted by its Baroque architecture, old city center Palazzo Ducale, San Martino Church, and St. Anthony Church. Next, we proceed to Ostuni, a charming Italian town with a 32,000 population, 8 km of coastline, and known for its white houses, narrow streets, arched passages, and spiral stairs, set among olive and grape trees with most income from tourism. The last stop is the historic Monopoli, built on the Adriatic coast, famous for its old town center, Piazza Settembre, colorful market, Monopoli Cathedral, and bell tower. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Bari - Amalfi Coast (Naples & Designer Outlet La Reggia Tour)
Following breakfast and hotel check-out, depart for our hotel in the Naples region. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Those guests who wish can join an extra half-day tour called Naples & Designer Outlet La Reggia (€125). Visit Italy’s and the world's top designer outlet chain, McArthurGlen La Reggia, featuring prominent brands such as Armani, Moschino, Furla, Ralph Lauren, Boss, with discounts up to 70%, providing excellent shopping opportunities. Afterwards, explore Naples with a tour covering the Royal Palace built in the 16th century, San Carlo Theater, Umberto I Gallery known for its cafes and shops, San Francesco di Paola Church inspired by Pantheon in Rome, Plebiscito Square, and Angevin Castle. Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 Amalfi Coast (Amalfi & Positano & Sorrento Tour)
After breakfast, the day is free. Those who wish can join an extra tour called Amalfi Coast & Sorrento (€145). The tour includes enjoyment of the sea, sun, and sand, along with exploring historic sites and taking postcard-perfect photos. We start in Sorrento, a beautiful Mediterranean town built on cliffs, known for its lemon groves and sparkling sea, where we will learn about the area with our guide. Then, we proceed to Positano, a colorful town famous for its houses climbing down the cliffs and its photo spots from panoramic terraces, with no car access. Next, we head to Amalfi, a town from Greek mythology dating back to ancient times, with a significant port history. The main sights include the Cathedral of Saint Andrew and Flavio Gioia Square. There will be a short sea break for those interested. After free time, return to the hotel at the scheduled time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 Amalfi Coast - Istanbul
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, transfer to Naples Airport. Depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival in Istanbul local time, end of the tour.
