Day 1 ISTANBUL – TUNIS – NABEUL – HAMMAMET
We meet three hours before the flight at the International Departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, our flight to Tunis with Turkish Airlines departs. Upon arrival at Tunis airport, we transfer to our hotel via the private bus waiting for us. During the city tour, you will feel like you are in France with Bourguiba Boulevard, the Aziz Vincent de Paul Cathedral built in the 19th century, the statue of Ibn Khaldun, one of the famous Arab scholars of the middle ages, and the clock tower, which is considered a symbol of Tunis. Afterwards, we depart for Nabeul. While strolling through the mystical streets of Nabeul, the ceramics and pottery capital, we will see many objects unique to Tunisia such as copper, leather, embroidery, and beaded items. Then, we move towards Hammamet, built on the sea shore, offering breathtaking views from its rooftop terraces. In Hammamet, you will see long clean beaches, azure seas, magnificent parks, lush gardens, castle walls, streets, and a large mosque that preserves the rich history of the city. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel and have free time to rest. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 HAMMAMET
After breakfast at the hotel, there is free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Kairouan & El Jem & Monastir tour. (80 Euro). We depart for Kairouan, where we will visit the Great Okba Ibn Nafa Mosque, regarded as the ancestor of all mosques in the Maghreb region and one of the most important Islamic monuments. This architectural masterpiece is also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will also visit the Aghlabid Basin and Sidi Sabi’s tomb. Afterwards, we proceed to El Jem. The amphitheater here is one of the best-preserved Roman relics in the world. Built in the mid-third century AD (230-240 AD), it is the largest Roman amphitheater in Africa. It ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. As one of the last large Roman amphitheaters built during the Roman period, its architecture is an advanced version of the Colosseum in Rome. After the tour, we return to the hotel and have free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 HAMMAMET
After breakfast at the hotel, there is free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Tunis & Carthage & Bardo Museum tour. (80 Euro). First, we proceed to explore the ancient city of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient city contains 3,000-year-old Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader relics following the footprints of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal. Carthage, hosting a series of ancient structures and ruins, reflects its rich history with thermal baths, temples, and walls. Then, we continue with the visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum has a wide collection of exhibits, notably the impressive Roman mosaics. Each mosaic, with its complex designs and vibrant colors, tells a unique story from Tunisia's diverse past. Afterwards, we head to the historic Medina district of Tunis. We explore the narrow streets, souvenir shops, and the famous Souk El Attarine, also known as the traditional market of Tunis. "Souk" means "market" or "bazaar" in Arabic, and "El Attarine" refers to "perfume sellers" or "spice merchants." You will have the opportunity to shop as you wish. Then, we visit Place de la Kasbah (Tunis’s historic square) and Zaytuna Mosque. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel and have free time. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 HAMMAMET – TUNIS – ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, the rooms are vacated, and there is free time until the transfer time announced by your guide. Guests who wish can join the optional Sidi Bou Said tour. (35 Euro). We head to Sidi Bou Said, known as Tunisia’s Santorini, with its blue-and-white houses, narrow streets, and breathtaking views along the Mediterranean Sea. You can stroll through the charming streets, take amazing photos, and enjoy the picturesque scenery. After the tour, we transfer to Tunis airport at the time announced by the guide. After baggage, ticketing, and boarding procedures, our Turkish Airlines flight departs for Istanbul. Following a comfortable and pleasant flight, we arrive in Istanbul, and our tour concludes.
