1st Day: Istanbul – Barcelona
Meeting point at the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures terminal at Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Barcelona at 07:55 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1853. We will arrive at 10:35 local time, and our panoramic city tour will begin with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona is the second-largest city in Spain and the vibrant capital of the Catalonia region. This magnificent city, washed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its splendid architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and vibrant nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with the unique works of Antoni Gaudí. During our city tour, we will see La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Monument, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Endülüs Arena, and the Olympic Port. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel and have free time. Overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day: Barcelona – Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum) – Barcelona
After the breakfast at the hotel, guests may optionally join the extra tour “The Magnificent Pearls of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum)” (70 Euro). Our first stop will be Girona, a historic city located approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Barcelona, renowned for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and walls. During our tour, we will see the Lion statue, the Cathedral square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). After the tour, we will head to the city of Figueras. Figueres is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali and has a strong connection to the famous Spanish painter's life and works. The most significant tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum, which Dali established to showcase his works and to leave something behind in the place he was born. This museum now houses the largest collection of Dali's works and is considered Dali's greatest masterpiece since he designed every part of it. The museum contains over 4000 works created by Dali using various techniques. After the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel. In the evening, those who wish can optionally join the extra tour “The Magnificent Flamenco Fire” (55 Euro). Flamenco is regarded as an expression of emotion and passion and forms a crucial part of Spain’s cultural heritage. Both as a dance and as music, flamenco offers a lively and exciting experience to the audience. After spending a beautiful time here, we will transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day: Barcelona – Park Güell & Gothic Quarter – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, guests may optionally join the extra tour “Gaudi’s Magnificent Work Park Guell & Gothic Quarter” (60 Euro). Our first stop will be Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi's magnificent works, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the fairy tale park, this park creates a whimsical atmosphere with its colorful staircases and fantastical pavilions. After visiting this splendid work of Gaudi, our second stop will be the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages through its narrow, labyrinthine streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls, while admiring the historical texture. Among the important structures in the quarter are the Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, those who wish can optionally join the extra tour to the “Magnificent Sitges” (40 Euro). Sitges is a charming seaside town located on the Mediterranean coast, southwest of Barcelona. Famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, it is also known for its cultural and artistic events and hosts numerous art galleries, museums, and festivals. Our visit will begin with the magical staircases of the San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral, which dates back to the 17th century and stands on the remnants of an ancient Romanesque and Gothic church. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, we will explore the historical streets of Sitges, where the medieval town center showcases exquisite examples of Modernism such as the Maricel Palace and Museum, a veritable heaven for collectors. Right across will be the Cau Ferrat Museum, formerly the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in Catalonia. After seeing his paintings here, we will notice its crucial role in making Sitges this widely recognized. After strolling through the colorful houses and quaint bars in the narrow streets, we will head to the beach to spend the remaining time enjoying the day like locals. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day: Barcelona – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time specified by the guide. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul Airport on Turkish Airlines flight TK1854 at 12:00. We will arrive at 16:35 local time, marking the end of our tour.
