Meeting with our esteemed guests at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Departing to Sarajevo with the scheduled flight of Pegasus Airlines. Upon arrival in Sarajevo, we set off for a city tour with our private bus waiting for us. We will start our city tour by getting off the bus in front of the central library building, one of the symbols of the city. After experiencing the intriguing story of the Inat Kuca, we will see the Latin Bridge, built during the Ottoman era, and the location where Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary and his wife were assassinated, which triggered World War I. We then continue towards the heart of the city, Baščaršija. Our tour continues with Sebil Square, named after this fountain, a tradition from the Ottoman Empire, and through the historic streets of Baščaršija, which has preserved its historical fabric. We will see other landmarks such as the Gazi Husrev Beg Mosque, the Kuršumlija Medresa, and Morica Han. Our tour then proceeds to Ferhadija, the most popular street in the city, showcasing the architecture from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Catholic Cathedral, Markale Market, and the indoor market, finishing at the Eternal Flame Monument dedicated to the victims of World War II. Following the tour, there will be free time before transferring to our hotel and checking into our rooms.
2. DAY SARAJEVOAfter having breakfast at our hotel, guests who wish can join an extra lunch tour to Mostar & Blagaj.
Mostar & Blagaj Tour (70 Euro per person)
Our first break is in the town of Konjić. Here we see the famous Konjić Bridge, which has survived from the Ottoman period and has been restored by Turkey. We take a coffee break while enjoying the beautiful view of the Neretva River. Continuing our journey, we see the panoramic view of the Nazi Train sabotaged by Partisan soldiers during World War II and the destroyed bridge on the road to Jablanica. We then continue to Blagaj. Upon arrival, we visit the Alperenler Tekke, which has been inhabited for 550 years. The tekke, which is set by the water spring that emerges from a high and magnificent rock, was established in the early 15th century and has hosted the Qadiriyyah, Rufaiyyah, Halvetiyyah, and Naqshbandi orders. (Guests may visit the tekke if they wish.) After visiting the tekke, we have our lunch and then continue our journey to Mostar. After witnessing the historical Köski Mehmet Bey Mosque and the historical Mostar Bridge, we visit the bridge. This bridge was built to allow the Ottoman army to cross during Suleiman the Magnificent's last campaign to Sigetvar and was destroyed during the war in 1993 by Croats. It was later restored to its original state by a Turkish company. After visiting the small Mostar bridge and exploring the bazaar, we head back to our hotel in Sarajevo. Overnight stay at our hotel.
