DAY 1 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – GENOA
We meet at Istanbul Airport's International Terminal at 04:10 am, and then depart for Nice with Turkish Airlines flight TK1813 at 07:10 am. After arriving in Nice at 09:10 local time, we transfer to the port of Genoa, where we check in to our ship and settle into our cabins. After some free time, our ship will set sail at 16:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 2 NAPLES
Our ship will dock at Naples port at 13:00. Guests wishing can join the optional full-day “Sorrento & Capri Tour” organized by our guide. Sorrento is the birthplace of poet Torquato Tasso, a land of colors, the home of mermaids, the city of lemon trees and oranges. In the 1920s, Sorrento also hosted the famous Soviet writer Maxim Gorky, making it a charming southern city where kindness and hospitality come together and are passed down from generation to generation. After our Sorrento tour, we will move on to Capri. After a fast ferry ride, we arrive at the island of Capri. Places to visit in Capri include the town of Capri located above the port, the town of Anacapri at the top of the hill, the Augustus Gardens, and the shopping street. Those interested can take a cable car from Anacapri to the highest point of the island for a chance to see a magnificent view. After the tour, we return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 20:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 3 MESSINA (TAORMINA)
Our ship will dock at Messina port at 09:00. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional “Taormina Tour” organized by our guide. This tour will take us through stunning scenic slopes to the world-famous town of Taormina. In Taormina, we will see the Cathedral, Corvaia Palace, and the Roman Theatre (from the outside) as well as Umberto Street. After some free time for shopping, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 4 VALLETTA
Our ship will dock at Valletta port at 08:00. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional “Mosta & Valletta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk Tour.” Our first stop will be Mosta. On this tour, we will visit the Santa Maria Assunta Basilica, which has the third-largest dome in Europe. The exterior diameter of this massive basilica is 56.2 meters, and its interior paintings were done by the painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see the replica of the 200kg bomb that was dropped by German Nazi planes during World War II, which penetrated the dome but did not explode, and we will learn about the architecture of the church. Then we will visit Mdina, Malta's ancient capital, which served as a natural set for many scenes in the famous series Game of Thrones. As we stroll through the narrow streets of this medieval town known as the Silent City, we will see the magnificent St. Paul Cathedral, the Falconer's Palace built by Malta's noble families in the 13th century, the Baroque-style Carmelite Monastery built in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and the old houses of Mdina. Next, we will visit the fishermen's village called “Marsaxlokk.” You should not miss the view offered by the Luzzo, small charming fishing boats unique to Malta with their colors and designs. There will also be free time in this charming fishing village with an open market for our guests to have lunch in local restaurants serving menus featuring fresh fish and seafood if they desire. After our free time, we will head towards Valletta. We will conduct a city tour of Valletta. Valletta has been selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2018 by the European Union Council of Ministers. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent city of Valletta, surrounded by stunning walls from the outside. After our bus tour, we will explore the vibrant streets of Valletta with our guide. Our first stop will be the Barracca Gardens, located at the upper section of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, also offer a stunning view of the Grand Harbour and the three ancient cities surrounded by walls. At the end of the tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 5 AT SEA
This day will be spent at sea, and our ship will offer you many alternatives. Guests wishing can enjoy the outdoor and indoor pools, jacuzzis, and sunbathing areas. Those interested can shop at the duty-free stores, try their luck at the casino, or enjoy various music and entertainment options offered at the many bars. All day, different dining options will also be waiting for you. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 6 BARCELONA
Our ship will dock at Barcelona port at 08:00. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests wishing can join the optional “Barcelona City Tour” organized by our guide. Our city tour in Barcelona, one of the most beautiful metropolises in Europe, will begin with our private bus waiting at the port. We will see La Rambla Street, the Cristoforo Colombo Monument, Maremagnum Artificial Port, Barceloneta Beach, the Olympic area and its port, Catalunya Square, Passeig de Gracia where Gaudi has turned the street into a museum of his houses, and the most significant masterpiece of his, the Sagrada Familia among other sights. During our tour, we will climb Montjuic Hill to take scenic photos. After some free time for shopping, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 7 MARSEILLE
Our ship will dock at Marseille port at 07:00. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests wishing can join the optional “Marseille & Aix En Provence Tour” organized by our guide. Our tour for the day will first take us to Aix en Provence, located 40 minutes away from Marseille. We will start by visiting the famous St. Saviour's Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century and features a Romanesque front and a vaulted, covered passage. After a pleasant walk through the old district of the city where you will see ancient inns and the area built by Cardinal Mazarino’s brother in the 17th century, we will return to the important port city of Marseille. We will begin by visiting the “Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral” located on a high hill. Following this visit, we will see the Longchamps Fountain, St. Charles train station, the old city, Hotel de Ville, and the marina area among our sightseeing spots. After some free time in the city center, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the ship.
DAY 8 GENOA – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
Our ship will dock at Genoa port at 08:00. After breakfast, we will conduct our disembarkation procedures and head to Nice Airport with our waiting vehicle. After check-in procedures, we will depart with Turkish Airlines flight TK1896 at 14:55. We will arrive at Istanbul Airport at 18:55 local time. End of our tour.
