Meeting at the Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures 3 hours before flight. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we will depart for Skopje on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1003 at 07:25. We will arrive at 07:55 local time and after meeting with our vehicle at the airport, we will head towards Matka Canyon. The canyon is famous for its prehistoric caves and many medieval monasteries. Matka Canyon is one of Macedonia's most popular outdoor destinations and natural beauties. After taking a photo break at Matka Canyon, we will proceed to Tetovo. In Tetovo, we will visit the Alaca Mosque, a work of architectural masterpiece completed in 1438 and restored in 1833, which differs from other Ottoman mosques with its ceramic tile decorations and vibrant flowered panels. After our visit, we will head towards Bitola. In our Bitola (Bitola) city tour, the notable places to be seen include the Historical Turkish Bazaar, Bedesten, İshakiye Mosque, the New Mosque, one of the most prominent elements of the city skyline, and you will experience emotional moments when visiting Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's alma mater, the Military High School of Bitola and the Atatürk Museum. You can have your lunch during the free time in the area. After our break, we will move towards our last stop of the day, Ohrid. Known for its high mountains and Lake Ohrid, this city continues to impress its visitors with its history as well as its nature. During our panoramic city tour that we will conduct on foot in Ohrid, we will see the Fortress of Tsar Samuel, which stands like a crown over the old city, the Church of St. Sophia, the Ancient Theater, which is the only Hellenistic theater that has survived to this day in North Macedonia, and many churches and monasteries from the Byzantine period. After our tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day Ohrid – St. Naum – OhridAfter breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Ohrid Lake & St. Naum tour with our private buses. Our first stop will be Lake Ohrid. Lake Ohrid is one of the largest and most important natural treasures of North Macedonia, located in the southwest of the country. Considered one of the oldest and deepest lakes in the world, Lake Ohrid is known for its magnificent clear waters, natural beauty and unique aquatic ecosystem with over 200 endemic species as well as rich biodiversity. You will have the opportunity to take unique photographs during the break we will take around the lake. After our tour, we will arrive at St. Naum after approximately a 45-minute journey with breathtaking views. Upon arrival, we will visit St. Naum Monastery and Church, one of the most significant saints of the region. The historic church within the monastery, frescoes, and other religious structures reflect the art and architectural understanding of the Middle Ages. After our tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Ohrid – Tirana – ShkodraAfter breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we depart for the capital of Albania, Tirana. During our panoramic city tour of Tirana, we will see the Ethem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, Skanderbeg Statue and Square among other sights. After the free time given, we will head towards Shkodra at the time indicated by our guide. In the city tour we will conduct, we will see Ebu Bekir Mosque, Rozafa Castle, Tito Square, and the Five Heroes Statue. Then we will transfer to our hotel and have some free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Shkodra – St. Stefan – Budva – Kotor – Trebinje
After breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we set off for Montenegro. Upon arrival at the border, after customs and passport procedures, we will take a break at a viewpoint from where we can see St. Stefan, which was once a fishing village and has turned into a city, and its turquoise beaches. Then we will arrive in Budva, known for its sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife, which is located along the Adriatic Sea coast with its well-preserved medieval walled city. During our walking city tour, we will see the Old Town (Stari Grad) and Budva Fortress. After a free time for lunch, we will proceed to Kotor at the time indicated by our guide. Kotor, located at the deepest part of the Kotor Bay, is known for its beautiful architecture and natural surroundings. Here, we will discover Kotor by walking through the Old Town, which is the city's historical center. After our visit to Kotor, we will head to the Bosnia and Herzegovina border, where we will complete customs procedures and transfer to our final stop, Trebinje or the hotel nearby. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5th Day Trebinje – Pocitelj – Blagaj – Mostar – SarajevoAfter breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we set out to explore the historical cities of Bosnia. Our first stop will be Pocitelj, known as the Turkish Village, where we will see buildings from the 16th century, constructed during the Ottoman Period, and Pocitelj Castle. After that, our next stop will be Blagaj. In this historical town, we will visit Blagaj Tekke, built during the Ottoman Period, located on the banks of the Buna River and surrounded by high cliffs. You will have a free time to have your lunch during this break. After the break, we will arrive in Mostar after a short journey. In Mostar, built around the Neretva River, our walking tour will start with the Mostar Bridge, which is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture and symbolizes the city. Although it was destroyed during the conflicts at the end of 1992, it was rebuilt in 2004 with the significant contributions of the Republic of Turkey. The tour will also cover the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque. After our tour, we will head towards Sarajevo. Sarajevo, which is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, holds great importance in the Balkans. The city has been a meeting point for Roman Catholics in the west, Eastern Orthodox in the east, and Ottoman people in the south. While it serves as an example of civilization clashes throughout history, it also shines a light for peace with its multiculturalism and tolerance. This city, recognized for its religious diversity, has Muslims, Christians from various sects, and Jews living together for centuries. The city also reflects its diverse history in its architecture, with some areas reminiscent of a Central European city while others reflect Ottoman or Soviet-style socialist modernism just a few streets away. Upon arrival in the center, we will conduct a walking tour where we will see the Vijecnica (National Library), built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but now used as a national library, the Inat Kuca, with its surprising story, the river Bosnia, the Latin Bridge which has remained from the Ottoman period to the present day, and the point where the spark of World War I was lit, and we will see the site where the Archduke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire was shot. We will also pass through the cobbled narrow streets and traditional bazaar of the historical center of Sarajevo, which is famous for its historical mosques. It is possible to hear the call to prayer while passing next to a church or synagogue in this area. Among the sites we will see in the Baş Çarşı area are the Sebil, the Pigeon Square, the historical clock tower, the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Morica Han, the only remaining Ottoman khan from the Ottoman era, and we will conclude our tour by visiting the Eternal Flame (Vjecna Vatra), dedicated to the military and civilian casualties who liberated Sarajevo in World War II. The monument is formed by tiles with writings in the colors of the former Yugoslav flag (blue, white, and red) and contains a bronze container with an ever-burning flame shaped like a laurel leaf. After our tour, we will have free time. At the time indicated by our guide, we will transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6th Day Sarajevo – BelgradeAfter breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we will set off for Belgrade. Upon our arrival in Belgrade, we will start our panoramic city tour. During this panoramic city tour, we will see the daily life of the city, important buildings, and the intentionally left building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs which was bombed by NATO. The continuation of the tour will include a walking tour where we will see the Bayrakli Mosque, Belgrade Fortress, Damat Ali Pasha Tomb, Clock Tower, Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Fountain, Military Museum, Istanbul Gate, Dungeon Gate, Leopold Gate, Stefan Lazarevic Monument, Nebojsa Tower, Kalemegdan Park, Saborna Church, Republic Square, Terazije Square, and Stone Square. We will complete our city tour with a walk along Knez Mihajlova street, which is considered the heart of the city. Here, you can shop or enjoy the cafes on the street until the time indicated by our guide. After the specified time, we will transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
7th Day Belgrade – SkopjeAfter breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we set off for Skopje. This city, located on the banks of the Vardar River, has many historical mosques, bazaars, and hans due to being influenced by the Ottoman Empire. Upon arrival, we will start our city tour in Skopje, during which we will see the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Isa Bey Mosque, and Kapan Han, the Turkish Bazaar, Skopje City Park, the symbol of the city, the Stone Bridge over the Vardar River, and Macedonia Square. After the city tour, there will be free time until the time indicated by our guide in Macedonia Square. Afterwards, we will head to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
8th Day Skopje – Prizren – Pristina – IstanbulAfter breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we will set off for the Republic of Kosovo. Upon completing customs and passport procedures, we will arrive in Prizren. In this city, which rests on the slopes of the green Shara Mountains divided by the Lumbardh River, we will conduct a tour to see the Sinan Pasha Mosque, the main square of the city called Shadervan, Prizren Bath, the Flag Mosque, and Halveti Teke. After our tour, we will proceed to Priština, the youngest capital of Europe. In Pristina, we will see Germia Park, the Kosovo National Museum, Yasar Pasha Mosque, the historical Clock Tower, and the tomb of Murad I, who died in the First Kosovo War. After our tour, we will transfer to the airport at the time indicated by our guide. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1020 at 20:25. We will arrive in Istanbul at 23:15 local time, concluding our tour.
