CLASSIC ITALY WRITING 2026 (VCE-FCO)
DAY 1 ISTANBUL – VENICE
Meet 3 hours before the flight at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Departures terminal, Pegasus Airlines counter. After baggage and ticket procedures, fly to Venice with a scheduled Pegasus Airlines flight. Upon arrival at Tronchetto Square, take a short boat ride to Piazza San Marco and start a panoramic city tour. During the tour, see famous Piazza San Marco and its Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs where prisoners cast a last look at Venice before entering prison, the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge, Doge's Palace, Bell Tower, Clock Tower, and Giorgio Maggiore Church. After the city tour, free time. Then transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 2 VENICE – MILAN
After breakfast, depart for Milan. Guests who wish can join an optional Verona Tour (40 Euros per person) organized by our guide along the route. In Verona, see Romeo & Juliet’s house, Verona Arena, the medieval Scaligero Bridge, and Verona Cathedral. Afterwards, proceed to Milan. In Milan, visit the Duomo, which took nearly 500 years to complete, Fortress Castle, and Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, known for its high-end fashion boutiques. Then transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 3 MILAN - FLORENCE
After breakfast, depart for Florence. On the way, guests can join an optional Bologna Tour (35 Euros), organized by the guide. In Bologna, see Piazza Maggiore, the Neptune Fountain behind the square, the Old Exchange Building, Europe's first university building, Quadrilatero (old market), and the famous Garisenda and asinelli towers. After the tour, proceed to Florence. Upon arrival, take a panoramic city tour including the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio bridge known for jewelers, Palazzo Vecchio of the Medici family, Piazza Della Signoria with the statues of Hercules and David, Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo, and the Baptistery with its famous doors. Then transfer to the Montecatini hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 4 FLORENCE
Guests interested can join an optional Tuscany Tour (110 Euros). First stop in Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Square of Miracles, then head to San Gimignano, known for its medieval towers built by rival noble families. Afterward, proceed to Siena. In Siena, see the Palio horse races held in Campo Square, Siena Duomo, and explore the narrow streets. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 5 FLORENCE – ROME
After breakfast, depart for Rome. Guests may optionally join a Orvieto Tour (35 Euros). Visit the ancient city of Orvieto with its historic center and the Duomo. Then proceed to Rome. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic city tour including Castel Sant’Angelo where Cem Sultan was imprisoned, Piazza Venezia with Mussolini’s speeches and the Vittorio Emanuele II monument, the Colosseum which hosted gladiator battles, the Trevi Fountain made famous by the movie “La Dolce Vita,” Spanish Steps, and the sunken Ghetto. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 6 ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free time. Guests can join an optional Outlet & Lakes Region & Vatican Tour (80 Euros per person), visiting the beautiful natural area where Popes used to stay in summer, including the town of Nemi known for its wild strawberries, and shopping at Castel Romano Outlet. Afterwards, we head to St. Peter's Square. Upon arrival, free time to visit the basilica and square. Those interested can join an optional Rome by Night Tour (35 Euros). Then, return to the hotel for the night.
*Please note that the extra tours offered today are conducted in a group. If purchased separately, transportation to and from the start/end points of the tours will be individual.
DAY 7 ROME
After breakfast, guests can join an optional Naples & Pompeii Tour (105 Euros). The first stop is Pompeii, which was buried under 7 meters of ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You will see the ruins of homes, palaces, and petrified humans uncovered by excavations. After visiting Pompeii, head to Naples. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic city tour including Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace built in the 17th century, Castel Nuovo (New Castle), San Francesco di Paola Basilica inspired by the Pantheon, the shopping arcade I. Umberto Galeria, San Carlo Opera House built in 1737 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Naples Harbor. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 8 ROME – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to Rome Airport depending on flight schedule. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, depart for Istanbul with Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Arrive in Istanbul and end of our tour.
