Day 1: ISTANBUL – TOKYO – SHIBUYA – TOKYO
We meet at the international departure terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we depart for Tokyo on Turkish Airlines flight TK50 at 15:25. We spend the night on the plane.
Day 2: TOKYO – SHIBUYA – TOKYO
Upon our arrival in Tokyo at 08:45 local time, after passport and luggage procedures, we begin our Tokyo City Tour with our private vehicle. Our first stop is Shibuya, known as a center of entertainment and cultural experiences. Shibuya is one of the most famous and lively districts in Tokyo, home to one of the world's busiest pedestrian crossings (Shibuya Scramble Crossing). Experiencing the movement of hundreds of people at each traffic light change provides a unique experience of Tokyo's energy. We will also visit the Hachiko statue, built in memory of a dog known for its loyalty, and enjoy our free time exploring many famous shopping centers. Additionally, during our tour, we will see Ueno Park and Tokyo Tower panoramically. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time to relax.
Day 3: TOKYO SENSOJI – YODOBASHI ELECTRIC TOWN AKIHABARA – GINZA – TOKYO
After breakfast, there is free time. Guests who wish can participate in the Extra Tokyo & Sensoji & Akihabara & Ginza Tour (€150). First, we visit Sensoji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, built in 645 AD and considered one of the most important religious centers in Tokyo since the Edo period. After our visit, we head to Yodobashi Electric Town, where we can find hundreds of electronic brands at affordable prices. After our shopping time, we move to Ginza, an area that reflects the sophisticated side and elegance of modern Japan. This area, filled with world-renowned brands and Japan's best restaurants, will provide us with free time for lunch. At the designated time by our guide, we will transfer back to our hotel and have free time to relax.
Day 4: TOKYO – MOUNT FUJI – HAKONE BOAT – OSHINO HAKKAI – GOTEMBA PREMIUM OUTLET – TOKYO
After breakfast, there is free time. Guests who wish can participate in the Extra Mount Fuji & Hakone & Oshino Hakkai Tour (€200). We set off to visit Mount Fuji, Japan's highest mountain, located south-west of Tokyo on Honshu Island, one of the symbols of the city. First, we pass to Hakone, known for its views of Mount Fuji and natural beauty. We will take a boat ride on Ashinoko Lake with a unique view of Mount Fuji. From the point we arrive at, we take the cable cars up to the viewpoint of Mototsumiya Shrine. After a photo break, we proceed to Oshino Hakkai, an area where melting snow merges with underground waters to create natural pools. The waters filtered through volcanic rocks are known for their crystal clarity. You can capture a magnificent reflection of Mount Fuji in the pools of varying sizes and depths. After our guided tour, we will head to Gotemba Premium Outlet Shopping, one of Japan's largest outlet shopping centers. At the designated time by our guide, we will transfer back to our hotel and have free time to relax.
Day 5: TOKYO – (SHINKANSEN) – DOTONBORI – OSAKA
After breakfast, we transfer to the train station for our Shinkansen (bullet train) journey to Osaka at the designated time by our guide. We only take our daily necessities with us. (Our large suitcases will be transferred to our hotel in Osaka by the transfer company arranged by us.) We reach speeds of up to 320 km/h on this high-speed train, arriving in Osaka after about two and a half hours. We will have our city tour of Osaka, Japan's second-largest metropolitan area after Tokyo. Among the places we visit is the Umeda Sky Building, consisting of two structures 173 meters long. The Umeda Sky Building is 173 meters high and consists of two 40-story towers. The connecting top of these towers features an observation platform. During our tour, we will go up to the observation deck on the 39th floor for a panoramic view of Osaka. Following the Umeda building, we then head to Dotonbori, a lively tourist attraction that has blended traditional Japanese culture with modern entertainment, known for its theater stages and performance arts during the Edo Period. Dotonbori is considered Japan’s culinary capital and is filled with restaurants that attest to this title. After enjoying some time in this vibrant area, we return to our hotel for free time to relax.
Day 6: OSAKA – ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO FOREST – KINKAKUJI TEMPLE – KIYOMIZU-DERA – FUSHIMI INARI – OSAKA
After breakfast, guests who wish can participate in the full-day Extra Kyoto & Bamboo Forest & Kinkakuji Temple & Kiyomizu Dera & Fushimi Inari Tour (€200). We set off with our private vehicle to Kyoto, known for its temples, gardens, and traditional neighborhoods, and one of Japan's best-preserved centers of traditional culture. After approximately one hour of travel, we start our city tour. Kyoto was the only place in Japan that was not bombed during World War II. The city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour begins with a visit to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which welcomes visitors with a 500-meter walking path. During our walk through this path, we will enjoy pleasant moments listening to the wind through the bamboo and capturing images of the forest. Next, we continue our tour with Kinkakuji Temple, a Zen temple completely covered in gold leaf, also known as the Golden Pavilion, located in northern Kyoto. The impressive structure overlooking a large pond features different architectural styles on each floor. We then proceed to Kiyomizu-dera, an independent Buddhist temple located in the east of Kyoto. One of the historical monuments of ancient Tokyo, the temple is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Beneath its main hall flows the Otowa Waterfall, whose waters flow into a pond through three channels, symbolizing knowledge, health, and long life. Next, we visit Fushimi Inari, one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines, known for its thousands of orange Torii gates. After visiting this UNESCO World Heritage-site Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine with beautiful views of Kyoto, we transfer back to our hotel and have free time to relax.
Day 7: OSAKA – NARA – TEA CEREMONY – OSAKA
After breakfast, guests who wish can participate in the Extra Osaka Castle & Nara and Tea Ceremony Tour (€200). We start our tour with Todaiji Temple, built in 752 AD, intended to be the leading temple among all Buddhist temples. Over time, the temple's influence grew, and in the 8th century, it began to influence politics as well. Todaiji's main hall is also recorded as the largest wooden structure in the world. This impressive building houses one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues (Daibutsu). Next, we visit Nara Park, a large park in the center of Nara, established in 1880, where most of Nara's main attractions, including Todaiji, Kasuga Taisha, Kofukuji, and the Nara National Museum, are located. It is also home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. After the opportunity to take pictures with the deer wandering around, we participate in a traditional Tea Ceremony, experiencing the preparation of traditional Japanese tea firsthand, and after savoring our tea, we have free time to enjoy the area.
Day 8: OSAKA – OSAKA CASTLE – OUTLET – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel. Osaka Castle, a five-story castle with a history of approximately 450 years, is not only one of the most visually stunning creations in the country but also a beautiful testament to traditional Japanese architecture, with its delicately balanced colors and elegant patterns adorning each floor. After visiting Osaka Castle, we head to the large Outlet for some last-minute shopping. At the designated time by our guide, we transfer to the airport. After completing our passport and luggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK87 at 22:30. We arrive the next day at 05:20 local time, marking the end of our tour.
