DAY 01 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – VENICE
Meeting at 08:30 at the Turkish Airlines counter in the Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After ticket, luggage, and passport processes, depart for Venice at 11:30 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1871. Arrival in Venice at 13:05 local time, followed by a “Venice City Tour.” During this tour in the gondola city of Venice, we will see places such as St. Mark's Cathedral and Square, the Doge's Palace, the Grand Canal, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Rialto Bridge. Guests may optionally participate in an extra “Gondola Tour (60 Euro).” This tour offers the opportunity to see the canals of Venice in traditional gondolas. After the tour, we head to our hotel. After check-in, free time. Overnight stay at our Venice hotel.
DAY 02 VENICE – FLORENCE – MONTECATINI
After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and depart for Florence with our private vehicle. After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, we arrive in Florence. In Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, we will have a “Florence City Tour” that includes notable sights like the Duomo (Santa Maria Del Fiore), the Baptistery, the Old Palace, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Signoria. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Montecatini. After check-in procedures, we settle into our rooms and have free time. Overnight at our Montecatini hotel.
DAY 03 MONTECATINI
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart with our private vehicle for the “Siena & Pisa & San Gimignano Tour.” First, we will visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, which has a tilt of 5.5 meters but is still standing, a marvel in itself. Next, we will explore Siena, a town that beautifully reflects the Middle Ages and is famous for the Palio horse races. Afterwards, we will complete our visit to San Gimignano, a fortified village used as a garrison during the Roman Empire due to its high location, surrounded by walls. We return to our hotel. Overnight at our Montecatini hotel.
DAY 04 MONTECATINI – ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out of our rooms and depart for Rome with our private vehicle. After about 2.5 hours of travel, we arrive in Rome. Upon arrival, we head to the city center for a “Rome City Tour.” Notable sights include Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Venezia where Mussolini addressed the public, the II Vittorio Emanuele monument, the Vatican Church and St. Peter's Square, the Trevi Fountain, Via Del Corso, and the Spanish Steps, all visited panoramically. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. After check-in procedures, we settle into our rooms and have free time. Overnight at our Rome hotel.
DAY 05 ROME – CIVITAVECCHIA ( EMBARKING ON THE SHIP)
After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and have free time until the hour determined by our guide. Then, we depart with our private vehicle for the “Castel Gandolfo Lakes Region & Nemi Village & Outlet Tour.” We begin our tour visiting Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope's summer residence is located and enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Albano. Following this, we arrive at Nemi Village for a pleasant walking tour. After the walking tour, we have free time. After gathering, we head to Castel Romano Outlet, one of Italy's most famous outlets, for some shopping. After the tour, we transfer to the Civitavecchia port where our Costa Smeralda ship is. After completing the boarding procedures, we settle into our cabins and have free time. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:30. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 06 GENOA
Our ship will dock at Genoa port at 08:30. After breakfast, we set off with our private vehicle for the “Genoa City Tour.” Our neighboring port city, Genoa, was once the capital of an important maritime kingdom that ruled over the Mediterranean region, including Istanbul. We will visit important sites such as San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, and Christopher Columbus' house. After the tour, we return to the ship. Guests may participate in an optional “Santa Margherita & Portofino (80 Euro)” tour organized by our guide. Our first stop is Santa Margherita Ligure, known for its elegant atmosphere by the sea. We take a short walk along the palm-lined seashore, discovering the port and charming streets around it. During the free time given here, guests may take a coffee break by the seaside. After Santa Margherita, we take a ferry ride to Portofino, famous for its colorful houses and luxury yachts. In this small but impressive village, we explore the port area and scenic viewpoints around San Giorgio Church. After a photo stop, guests may enjoy lunch at seafood restaurants or have some time for shopping. After our visit to Portofino, we return to the ship. Our ship will depart at 17:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 07 MARSEILLE
Our ship will dock at Marseille port at 09:00. After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and depart with our private vehicle for the “Marseille City Tour & Aix En Provence Tour.” In Marseille, an important maritime city, we start our tour by visiting “Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral,” situated on a high hill. After this visit, we will see Longchamp Fountain, Saint Charles train station, the old town, Hotel de Ville, and the port area. Afterward, we will proceed to Aix en Provence, located 40 minutes away from Marseille. The tour will start at the well-known St. Saviour's Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century with its Romanesque facade and covered cloister. Then, during our pleasant walking tour in the old part of the city, we will see the ancient inns and the Mazarin neighborhood, designed by the brother of Cardinal Mazarin in the 17th century. Our ship will depart at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 08 BARCELONA
Our ship will dock at Barcelona port at 08:00. After breakfast, we check out from the ship and transfer to the airport with our private vehicle waiting at the port. After the passport and luggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 12:10 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1854. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 16:40 local time. End of our tour.
