Day 1 Istanbul – Malta – Valletta – Malta
At the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures terminal of Istanbul Airport, meeting 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Malta at 08:15 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1369. We arrive at 09:55 local time and start our city tour in the capital Valletta with our vehicle that is waiting for us at the airport. After the tour around the city walls, we will explore the lively streets of the capital.
Our first stop will be the Barracca Gardens, a magnificent garden built on top of the defensive walls surrounding this glorious city, offering a view of the Grand Harbor and three old fortified cities. We continue our tour, visiting St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master’s Palace, and the Parliament Building. After our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Malta – Gozo – Malta
After having breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional “Majestic Gozo Island Tour” (80 Euro). We depart early in the morning from Cirkewwa Harbor in the north of the island to Gozo, Malta’s second-largest island. During the approximately half-hour ferry ride, we will also see the country’s small islands Comino and Cominotto. Upon arrival, we will tour Ta’ Pinu Church, Dwejra, the Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, and the fishing village of Marsalforn. Lastly, we will visit the capital of the island, Victoria. After visiting the central church, the city walls, the Justice Palace, and the Bishop’s Palace, we will have free time in the city before returning to Malta by ferry. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Malta – Mdina & Mosta – Marsaxlokk – 3 Cities – Malta
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional “Majestic Town and Cities (Mdina & Mosta & Marsaxlokk & Vittoriosa & Senglea & Cospicua)” tour (80 Euro). Our tour will take us to the central region of Malta, dominated by the historic Mdina Fortress. During our tour in Mdina, Malta’s ancient capital and a site of historical significance, we will visit the city walls that offer a panoramic 360-degree view of the island. Next, we will visit the historic town of Mosta, famous for its impressive Rotunda Church (Mosta Dome). This church, with its massive dome built without supports, is notable for a bomb that fell into it during World War II but did not explode. Our next stop will be Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. The name of the village is derived from the Arabic “marsa,” meaning “harbor,” and “xlokk,” which refers to a southeast wind. The village is known for its harbor filled with colorful traditional luzzu boats, its lifestyle intertwined with the sea, and its seafood restaurants. Afterward, we will visit the Three Cities (Vittoriosa – Senglea – Cospicua). These cities, with their narrow stone streets, walled structures, baroque churches, and waterfront promenades, are the area where the Knights of Malta first settled in the 16th century, forming the backbone of the island's military defense line. Each city bears traces of the knights, Ottoman sieges, and Malta’s maritime history. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 Malta – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional “Majestic Popeye Village Tour” (65 Euro). Built as the set for the famous 1980 film Popeye, this village has now been transformed into an open-air museum and amusement park. This charming village, consisting of wooden houses, offers various activities for film enthusiasts and families, including interactive shows, playgrounds, and boat tours. Afterwards, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 19:15 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1372. Arrival at 22:45 local time and the end of our tour.
