Day 1 ISTANBUL – PORTO
Meet 3 hours before departure in front of the International Departures terminal at Istanbul Airport. After luggage, ticket, and check-in procedures, flight with Turkish Airlines to Porto. Upon arrival, panoramic Porto city tour with our private buses waiting at the area. Places to see include the Douro River; the Ribeira district with its historic buildings overlooking the river; Bolsa Palace; Cathedral (Porto Cathedral); House of the Prince; São Francisco Church; São Bento train station; Dom Luís I Bridge; and a panoramic city view. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. Guests may also join the Porto Boat Tour organized by our guide. This offers a chance to see this magnificent city from the river, and after reaching the Ocean, we conclude the tour. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 PORTO
After breakfast, free time. Then, guests will join the Braga & Guimarães tour. Braga is one of Portugal's important cities, with the first stop being the Holy Mountain Church (Bom Jesus do Monte), a magnificent structure reached by 650 steps, demonstrating the finest examples of North Portugal's granite architecture. Faithful people climb these steps on their knees during holy days. After Braga, we head to Guimarães, the former capital of Portugal. A charming city under UNESCO protection with its typical houses and squares. After exploring Guimarães, we proceed along a picturesque coastal road back to Porto. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time. Guests may also participate in the Porto by Night and Light Show Tour, where sites seen during the day are illuminated at night, with the most striking feature being a light show accompanied by music inside the Clerigos Church when in darkness. This rare spectacle is highly recommended. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3 PORTO – LISBON
After breakfast, depart for Lisbon. On the way, an organized Fatima & Nazare & Obidos tour will be available. First, we head to Fatima, where, in 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three young shepherds and revealed three secrets. It is one of the major pilgrimage and worship centers of Christianity. From Fatima, we proceed to the seaside town of Nazare, famous for its beaches and cliffs. Vasco de Gama, the famous explorer, used to pray at the cliffs of Nazare before embarking on long sea voyages. Next, we visit Obidos, a medieval town with well-preserved walls dating back to the 12th century and a charming old town. Then we head to Lisbon. Upon arrival, a panoramic city tour will include VII. Edward Park, the heart of the city Rossio Square, the famous Liberdade Square, Tagus River, São Jorge Castle, the Alfama district, the Alcântara district, Belem Tower, the Discoveries Monument, and the Jeronimos Monastery. Then, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 LISBON
After breakfast, free time. Then, guests may join the organized Sintra & Cascais & Estoril & Cabo da Roca tour. The tour includes a panoramic view of Sintra Royal Palace, the traditional fishing villages of Cascais and Estoril, and the westernmost point of continental Europe at Cabo da Roca. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel.
In the evening, guests can participate in the Fado Night (with dinner at 95 Euro), enjoying an authentic Portuguese Fado music experience. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 LISBON – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. After customs and ticket procedures, we depart with Turkish Airlines to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, our tour concludes.
