DAY 1 ISTANBUL – DOHA
Gather at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at least 3 hours before departure, in front of the Qatar Airways counter. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart on Qatar Airways scheduled flight to Doha. Spend the night onboard.
DAY 2 DOHA – PEKING
After midnight, flight on Qatar Airways scheduled service to Beijing. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a panoramic city tour of Beijing. During our tour, we will pass by architecturally impressive structures built for the 2008 Olympic Games, such as the Bird's Nest Stadium and the Water Cube, and explore modern Beijing. Afterwards, transfer to hotel and check-in.
DAY 3 PEKING
After breakfast, free time is available. Guests who wish can join the optional Beijing Combined Tour (per person 115€) including Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and Wangfujing Street, led by our guide. On this tour, we will get to know the city’s historical and modern aspects intimately. Our first stop is Tiananmen Square, one of the most significant symbols of Chinese history and political life. Then we visit the Forbidden City, a vast imperial palace complex that served Ming and Qing Dynasties for nearly 500 years, noted for its magnificent architecture, expansive courtyards, and historical structures; it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour, we will explore the living quarters of Emperors and learn key details about China’s long history. Next, we visit the Temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvests and prosperity. The circular and square architectural forms symbolize the sky and the earth. This impressive site is among Beijing’s important cultural heritage sites. After the tour, enjoy free time and transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4 PEKING
After breakfast, free time is available. Guests who wish can join the optional Juyongguan Great Wall & Hutong Neighborhoods Tour (per person 100€). We will visit one of China’s most magnificent structures, the Great Wall, a crucial defence architecture in Chinese history. It also has significant importance regarding Turkish history. Built over centuries to defend China’s northern borders, it is a symbol of conflicts involving Turkic peoples such as the Hun (Huns), Göktürks, Uighurs, and other Central Asian Turkic communities. We will begin our tour with a walk through the Juyong Pass, which offers striking views as it stretches through the mountains, built to protect China from invasions for centuries. During this walk, we will gain insights into Chinese history and military architecture amid stunning scenery. Then, explore the traditional Hutong neighborhoods, where you can experience Beijing’s local lifestyle. Narrow streets, courtyard houses, and authentic atmosphere offer a different perspective on Chinese culture. Afterward, transfer back to the hotel.
DAY 5 PEKING – XI’AN
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart with a high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy free time. Guests wishing can join the optional Xi’an Wonders Tour (per person 100€), which includes the City Walls, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque, and the Bell and Drum Towers. Our first destination is South Gate of Xi’an City Wall, built during the Tang and Ming Dynasties, an impressive part of the city’s defensive structure; we will walk along it to feel the history of Xi’an. Then, explore the lively Muslim Quarter with its narrow streets, local Chinese-Islamic architecture, delicious street foods, and souvenir shops, offering deep insights into Xi’an’s cultural diversity. The tour continues with visits to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, which have historically been used for timekeeping and city defense. Last stop is the Great Mosque, built during the Tang Dynasty, an architectural blend of Chinese and Islamic styles. Explore the prayer areas and historic courtyards to see the deep traces of Islamic culture in Xi’an. Afterwards, transfer back to the hotel and stay overnight.
DAY 6 XI’AN
After breakfast, enjoy free time at the hotel. Guests who wish can join the optional Terracotta Army & Big Wild Goose Pagoda & Tang Dynasty Tour (per person 100€). Our first stop will be the renowned Qin Terracotta Army Museum, an extraordinary collection of life-sized soldiers, horses, and chariots buried as part of Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb. We will learn about the history and significance of this vast army with our guide. Next, visit the Tang Dynasty’s important monument, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The temple and pagoda are vital symbols of Chinese Buddhism. We will walk around the site and enjoy the historical atmosphere. The final visit is to the modern DaTang Everbright City, with broad pedestrian streets and shopping areas for a relaxing end to the day. After the tour, free time. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 7 XI’AN – SHANGHAI
After breakfast, flight with a domestic airline to Shanghai. Upon arrival, enjoy a short panoramic city tour of Shanghai. During the tour, see The Bund, Nanjing Road, and the Huangpu River. Afterwards, guests can join the optional Huangpu River Cruise (per person 50€) to experience the city by night with illuminated views. Then, transfer to the hotel and check-in.
DAY 8 SHANGHAI
After breakfast, free time at the hotel. Guests wishing can join the optional Shanghai Combined Tour (per person 100€), including Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Xintiandi, Silk Market, and Huaihai Road. Our first stop is Yuyuan Garden, a classical Chinese garden with exquisite pavilions, tranquil ponds, and bridges. Then we visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to impressive jade Buddha statues. Afterwards, explore Xintiandi, a neighborhood blending old Shanghai architecture with modern cafes and shops. Enjoy shopping at the Silk Market, known for silk products and souvenirs. End the tour with a walk along Huaihai Road, Shanghai’s premier shopping street. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 9 SHANGHAI
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free time. Guests who wish can join in the optional Zhujiajiao Water Village & AP Plaza Shopping Tour (per person 65€). We will head to Zhujiajiao Water Village, with a history of around 600 years, known as the “Venice of Shanghai” due to its canals, traditional houses, and ancient bridges. Walking through the stone-paved streets, enjoy the serene atmosphere with traditional Chinese houses, wooden facades, and arched bridges. Traditional boats on the canals add to the scenery. Experience the peaceful ambiance with lantern reflections, incense, and traditional melodies. Explore teahouses, antique shops, and craft stores offering silk, ceramics, and artworks. Afterwards, visit AP Plaza, known for a wide range of affordable products including leather goods, electronics, clocks, and silk. Afterwards, free time for shopping at Huaihai Road. Then transfer to Shanghai Airport for departure.
DAY 10 SHANGHAI – DOHA – İSTANBUL
After completing baggage checks and ticketing procedures, depart on Qatar Airways scheduled flight to Doha. Upon arriving in Doha, connect to the scheduled flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our tour and services will conclude.
