CRETE ISLAND TOUR - (3 NIGHTS - 4 DAYS) - 2026
Meet at the Aegean Airlines counter in the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport at 13:00. After passport, check-in, and baggage procedures, depart for Heraklion at 16:25 on Aegean Air flight A3435. Arrive in Heraklion at 17:55 local time. Transfer to our hotel with our private vehicle waiting at the airport. After checking into the hotel and settling into the rooms, enjoy free time. You can benefit from the hotel's facilities and enjoy the sea throughout the day. After dinner, guests who wish can join the "Greek Night Tour" organized by our guides for an additional fee. This special evening is an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture and energy of Crete. You will experience joyful moments with live Greek music and dances at this event held at the hotel. Additionally, a complimentary beverage of your choice will be served. After the Greek Night entertainment, return to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 02: HERAKLION
After breakfast, free time for personal activities and shopping. Guests who wish can join the "Heraklion City Tour & Knossos & Archanes Village Tour" organized by our guides for an additional fee. After breakfast, we meet with our guide and start our tour. We set off for the Heraklion City Tour. Upon arrival in Heraklion, we begin our tour at Plateia Elefterias, exploring the historical and cultural richness of Crete. Important stops on this tour will include the Agios Titos Church, the grandeur of Agios Minas Cathedral, and the historical texture of the Ottoman Bon Marche Building. These special places we visit are among the significant structures reflecting the rich cultural fabric of Crete. After visiting the Valide Sultan Mosque Fountain, the Vakif Building, and important structures that reflect the historical significance of Crete, we will visit the Venetian Loggia, an important structure from the Venetian period in Crete, showcasing the Venetian influences. Perhaps one of the most impressive moments of this tour will be the Venetian Harbor and shipyards. After the city tour, we will have free time to taste local delicacies and relax. Then we set off towards the Knossos Archaeological Site. This tour is designed for you to discover the ancient and traditional face of Crete. During our tour, we will visit the Knossos Palace and the historic Archanes Village. The Knossos Palace is a magical structure built in 2000 BC and served as the capital of the Minoan Kingdom. After our visit to the palace, we head towards Archanes Village. This charming Cretan village is known for its streets and houses that still preserve traditional lifestyles. You will understand the spirit of the island better by experiencing Cretan culture and lifestyle firsthand. After free time, we return to our hotel.
Day 03: HERAKLION
After breakfast, free time for personal activities and shopping. Guests who wish can join the "Rethymno & Chania Tour" organized by our guides for an additional fee. After breakfast, we will head to Rethymno, where you will witness the enchanting beauties of Crete. Rethymno is like an open-air museum, carrying traces of the Venetian and Turkish periods. When you reach one of Crete's most picturesque cities, you will journey through streets intertwined with history. During our discoveries in Rethymno, we will see landmarks such as the Venetian Fortress, Ibrahim Agha Mosque, the Venetian Fountain, Neratzes Mosque, and the old Ottoman School. After our explorations in Rethymno, we will turn our route towards Chania, which hosts the unique beauties of Crete. As we proceed to Chania through Souda Town, you will enjoy a pleasant journey with magnificent views. During our Chania city tour, we will explore the Venetian Harbor, Lighthouse, Hünkar Mosque, Agios Nikolaos Church, and the Kastelli Muslim Neighborhood. Towards the end of our tour, you will have the opportunity to shop at the Covered Bazaar. After the tour, return to our hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04: HERAKLION – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and have free time for personal activities and shopping until the transfer time determined by our guide. Guests who wish can join the "Jumbo Shopping Tour" organized by our guides for an additional fee. We will spend our last day at Jumbo Store, one of Greece's most popular shopping destinations known for its wide range from toys to household items and its affordability. After the tour, transfer to the airport. After passport and check-in procedures, we will depart for Athens at 15:00 on Aegean Airlines flight A3 315. Arrival in Athens at 15:50. Depart from Athens to Istanbul at 18:25 on flight A3 994. Arrive at Istanbul Airport at 19:55 local time, concluding our tour.
