1. DAY ISTANBUL - MARSEILLES
Meeting with our esteemed guests in front of the Pegasus Airlines counter at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal. After luggage and ticket procedures, flight to Marseille. Upon our arrival, we will have a panoramic city tour of Marseilleincluding places such as the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica from the 19th century, the Old Port, and the Marseille Cathedral. After the tour, free time. Accommodation at our hotel.
2. DAY MARSEILLES
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we depart for an optional extra tour to Aix-en-Provence & Avignon & Arles (100€ per person). Our first stop is Aix-en-Provence, known for its natural beauty. During our tour, we will see the Fountain of the Dolphins, the Albertas Fountain, and the Cardeurs Squares, the Saint Sauveur Cathedral, and Cours Mirabeau. Our next stop is the city of Avignon. The annual Theatre Festival (Festival d’Avignon) held every July since 1947, the medieval city walls, the Palace of the Popes (Palais des Papes), and the world-famous St. Bénézet Bridge (Pont d’Avignon), which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are among the places we will visit. Our next destination is Arles. This city is known for being the place where Van Gogh cut off his ear in a fit of rage and is home to some of his most significant works such as “Starry Night”, “The Langlois Bridge and the Woman with Umbrella”. We will also visit the Roman-era amphitheater with a capacity of 25,000 and its charming narrow streets. After the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel for free time. Accommodation at our hotel.
3. DAY MARSEILLES - TOULOUSE
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we will head to Toulouse, but before that, guests who wish can join an extra tour organized by our guide to Carcassonne (45€ per person). In this city, which dates back to the 6th century BC, you will feel like you are traveling back to the Middle Ages during our walk. Carcassonne, one of the most magnificent castle cities that have survived to the present day, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list after its restoration in 1997. After our tour, our journey to Toulouse continues. Upon arrival in Toulouse, we will have a panoramic city tour of Toulouse. During our city tour, we will explore the magnificent streets and buildings from the Capitole Square. Among the places we will see are the Basilica of Saint Sernin, which is the largest Roman-style structure in the world, the Jacobins Monastery, which is one of the finest examples of the 14th century in the southern region, the Town Hall Capitole, and the Bernuy, which are the most elegant examples of Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian styles built in the 16th century. After relaxing during the free time we will head to our hotel. Accommodation at our hotel.
4. DAY TOULOUSE - BORDEAUX
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we will head to Bordeaux; however, guests who wish can join an extra tour organized by our guide to Albi (45€ per person) on the way. In this tour, we will have the opportunity to see Albi, the most famous town in the Pyrenees region of France. Albi suffered severe damage due to the Albigensian Crusades that started in 1209. After the Albigensian Crusades, it came under the political and cultural dominance of North France, and its religious dominance was held by the Catholic Church. During our city tour, we will see the Sainte-Cecile Cathedral, the bridge named after Paris’s liberation from enemy occupation on August 22, 1944, the Old Bridge (Pont Vieux), and the Berbie Palace built by Bishop Bernard de Castanet. After the tour, we head to Bordeaux. Arrival in Bordeaux and panoramic city tour of Bordeaux. Among the sights during our tour are Rohan Palace, St. Andre Cathedral, the Great Bell Tower, the Garonne River, Pierre Bridge, Place de la Bourse, the Aquitaine Museum, and St. Michel Basilica. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel.
5. DAY BORDEAUX - BILBAO
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we will head to Bilbao; however, guests who wish can join an extra tour organized by our guide to Biarritz & San Sebastian (65€ per person) on the way. During this tour, we will visit the town of Biarritz, one of France’s most famous surfing centers which became the favorite holiday destination of that period due to the holiday palace built for Napoleon's wife, characterized by its Basque-style three-pointed roofs, art deco villas, and historic buildings. After our tour of Biarritz, we will move to San Sebastian, the most famous city in the Basque region. After the tour, our journey to Bilbao continues.Upon arrival, we will have a panoramic city tour of Bilbao. During our tour, we will see the Government House, the Town Hall, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, San Anton Church, Santiago Cathedral, and the Guggenheim Museum. After the tour, free time and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel.
6. DAY BILBAO - ISTANBUL
After breakfast at our hotel, we will transfer to Bilbao Airport. After completing the check-in procedures, we will depart for Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul and the end of our tour.
