DAY 1: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – CATANIA – ETNA
Meet with our valued guests at 04:15 in front of the THY international departures F counters (counters 1–27) after entering through Gate 3 at Istanbul Airport and complete check-in procedures. We depart for Catania on THY flight TK1393 at 08:10. Upon arrival in Catania at 08:35 local time, we meet our vehicle and begin our panoramic city tour. Afterwards, we start our Etna tour. As we drive toward Etna, we have the opportunity to take magnificent photos of Mount Etna, which welcomes us with its vegetation and scenery. On our route, we will see Silvestri, the second crater at an altitude of 1,800 meters, on Europe’s highest active volcano. Don’t forget to collect some of the smoking rock pieces as a souvenir! Our tour will end amid many scenic spots suitable for photos in the area formed by the lava of Mount Etna. Then we return to our hotel.
DAY 2: SAVOCA – TAORMINA – GIARDINI NAXOS – CATANIA
After breakfast, at the time previously announced by our guide, we begin our full-day excursion. On our Savoca, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos tour, we will see the places where the world-famous “The Godfather” was filmed. We will then see Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church among the places to visit. After walking through movie-like streets, we head to Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and one of Sicily’s most beautiful coastal towns. This charming town, located at the foot of Mount Tauro with breathtaking views, will be visited through its streets, souvenir shops, and avenues. Then we move on to Giardini Naxos, famous for its volcanic beach and colorful streets that captivate visitors. In this cultural mosaic, where the Greeks settled in the 6th century BC and later the Phoenicians and Romans lived, you can take wonderful photos. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel.
DAY 3: SIRACUSA – CATANIA
After breakfast, we leave the hotel for our full-day Siracusa tour. In Siracusa, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived, we see the Fountain of Arethusa, the Cathedral, the Fountain of Diana, and the Temple of Apollo. Then we return to Catania. Among the places we will see panoramically in Catania city center are the Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell’Elefante, Republic Square (Piazza Repubblica), and Etna Street. After free time, transfer to our hotel.
DAY 4: CATANIA – MALTA / GOZO ISLAND – DWEJRA – T’PINO CHURCH – VICTORIA RABAT – XELENDI – MGARR
After breakfast, we check out by handing in our room keys at reception and head to Catania Airport. We depart for Malta on Air Malta flight KM641 at 07:35, arriving at 08:15. After hotel check-in, we begin our Gozo tour with your guide. We cross to Gozo Island by ferry from Cirkewwa Port. In Gozo, which offers peace with its green nature, we visit Dwejra, which has hosted films such as Troy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones, and then T’Pino Church, a pilgrimage site. We will have the chance to taste local products such as honey, carob, liqueur, and cheese. Afterwards, we have free time in the fishing village of Xelendi. In Victoria Rabat, we see St. George’s Basilica and stroll through the streets. At the end of the tour, we return to Malta from Mgarr Port and transfer to our hotel.
DAY 5: MOSTA – MDINA – VALLETTA (GAME OF THRONES) – MARSAXLOKK
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and board the bus with our luggage. Our full-day tour begins. We visit the Santa Maria Assunta Church in Mosta, which has the third-largest dome in Europe. Then we move on to Mdina, where some scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. After seeing historical buildings such as the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Carmelite Church, we take a break at Fontanella Cafe. We then explore the capital, Valletta. Our final stop is Marsaxlokk Fishing Village. We enjoy pleasant time among its colorful boats and lively market. Afterwards, transfer to the airport and depart for Istanbul on THY flight TK1372 at 19:15. Arrival at 22:45, and the tour ends.
Fares are calculated per person in a double room.
In case of reservation cancellations, regardless of the cancellation request, a penalty fee will be applied for Air Malta flights. This penalty ranges between 75–125 EUR.
Operational disruptions that may occur on flights between Catania and Malta will be compensated with alternative ferry transportation.
Hotel standards in Italy may be below the standards in Turkey.
Check-in times at hotels are between 15:00–17:00, and check-out times are between 10:00–12:00.
If multiple hotel alternatives are offered for the same destination and/or only the hotel category is specified, the hotels where accommodation will be provided will be notified to you at least 48 hours before the start of the trip.
