We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. We meet in the lobby at the time communicated by our guide. After the meeting, we set off for the “Absheron Peninsula & Ateshgah & Yanardag & Shopping Tour” with lunch included. Our first stop is the Ateshgah Temple, considered one of the sacred centers of Zoroastrianism. This special place, known for the legend of the “Eternal Flame,” still carries the mystical atmosphere of the past. Afterwards, we will visit Yanar Dag, one of nature's extraordinary miracles, where natural gas escapes from underground and has been burning for centuries, making it one of Azerbaijan’s symbols described by Marco Polo as the “Land of Fires.” After returning to Baku and having lunch at our designated restaurant, we will head to Port Baku/Crescent Mall for the latter part of the day. World-renowned brand stores, modern restaurants, and a pleasant atmosphere await you here. We will have free time for shopping and relaxation. Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 3: Baku
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. We meet in the lobby at the time communicated by our guide. After the meeting, we will conduct the “Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes and Haydar Aliyev Museum Tour.” Our first stop is Gobustan, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and bears traces from prehistoric times. This area, which has the characteristics of an open-air museum on the shores of the Caspian Sea, sheds light on thousands of years ago with its rock carvings and painted stones. Afterwards, we closely observe the Mud Volcanoes, which are predominantly found in Azerbaijan and occur only in certain regions around the world. The lively geological movements will fascinate you with this unique natural phenomenon. In the afternoon, we return to Baku to visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, a masterpiece of modern architecture in Azerbaijan. Designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, this iconic structure attracts attention with its exterior and the exhibitions within. The cultural center houses personal belongings of Haydar Aliyev, along with ethnographic and archaeological collections. After the tour, we return to our hotel.
Extra: In the evening, for those who wish, our guide will organize an “Azerbaijan Night with Dinner” (80 EUR per person) as an extra option. This enjoyable night, where we will experience traditional music and local flavors, will remain an unforgettable memory from your trip. Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 4: Baku – Istanbul
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will complete the check-out procedures and vacate our rooms. We will meet in the lobby at the time communicated by our guide and start our “Baku Old Town & Surakhani Tanker Museum” tour. In this tour, we will first visit the Surakhani tanker, which has played an important role in Azerbaijan's maritime oil transportation history and was transformed into a museum after extensive restoration in 2017. The Surakhani tanker museum, which is 123.5 meters long and weighs 4696 tons, features various innovative solutions in its halls. Here, we will learn about the history of the Caspian Sea, oil production in Absheron, the development of navigation, ships considered among the world's first, and marine equipment used for operating vessels dating back about 5000 years. After our museum visit, we embark on a journey through the narrow streets of the Inner City (Icheri Sheher), where we closely observe important structures such as the Maiden Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the Miniature Book Museum, and historic baths. Finally, we have free time on Nizami Street, one of the liveliest points in Baku, reminiscent of Istanbul's Istiklal Avenue, previously known as Targovi.
