Day 1 - ISTANBUL – SHANGHAI
Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal at 21:30. After passport, ticket, and customs procedures, we will depart for Shanghai on Turkish Airlines flight TK26 at 01:25. Overnight on the plane. After arriving in Shanghai at local time 16:45, we will transfer to our hotel. We will have our dinner at the hotel in an open buffet. After dinner, you will have the opportunity for shopping on Shanghai's famous Nanjing Road, and we will witness the enchanting night view adorned with lights in Shanghai. Afterward, we will transfer to our hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 - SHANGHAI
After breakfast, we will visit the Shanghai Museum, one of the best museums in China. Opened in 1996, this museum showcases traditional Chinese arts and furniture, and also has souvenir shops. After our museum visit, we will continue our tour by visiting the Bund area, known as the "window of Shanghai," located along the Huangpu River. After the tour, we will have our dinner at a Uyghur restaurant. Following the Uyghur dinner at the restaurant, a boat trip on the Huang River will make our day unforgettable. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 3 - SHANGHAI - YICHANG – YANGTZE (High-Speed Train)
After breakfast, we will travel to Yichang by high-speed train. After a pleasant and comfortable journey lasting approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes, we will carry out a city tour of Yichang and have our dinner. After that, we will transfer to our cruise ship. Overnight on the ship.
May 8 (Day 4) YANGTZE (Three Gorges)
Every morning on the ship, guests who wish can participate in Tai Chi, a Chinese exercise. After breakfast, our ship will dock at Yangjiawan Port, passing the eastern shore of Xiling Gorge, following the breathtaking views of the Three Gorges. The Three Gorges Dam will be among the places to be seen here. After lunch on the ship, watching the boat rise to the dam level at Ge Zhouba using the ship's lock system will be an interesting experience for all of us. At 19:00, we will be welcomed with the ‘Captain’s Meet and Greet Welcome Cocktail’. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5 - YANGTZE (Wu and Quatang Gorges)
After breakfast on board, you will explore the Shenong River on small boats. We will have the chance to see historic sites and coffins hanging on vertical valley cliffs and familiarize ourselves with local customs and traditions. In the afternoon, passing through the Wu and Quatang Gorges, you will be amazed by the spectacular views. Lunch and dinner on board and overnight.
Day 6 - YANGTZE (Wanxian)
After breakfast, we will arrive at the city of Wanxian, located in the middle of the river cruise. After the tour of the city, which was established during the Ming Dynasty from 1368-1644, you can visit silk weaving and bamboo goods shops. Lunch and dinner on board and overnight.
Day 7 - YANGTZE - CHONGQING - XIAN (Domestic Flight)
After breakfast, we will disembark from the ship at 09:00. Following the city tour of Chongqing, we will transfer to the airport and travel to Xian during the noon hours. After arriving in Xian, we will proceed to see the City Walls. The first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, strengthened the city walls from the ancient Tang Dynasty, which have a length of 13.7 km made from mud and rice. We will be transferred to the restaurant for dinner. After dinner, we will transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8 - XIAN – BEIJING (High-Speed Train)
After breakfast, we will visit the famous Terracotta Museum. It is the most significant and magnificent archaeological discovery of the 20th century. (This underground army of statues made to protect the tomb of China’s first emperor Shihuan has only partially been excavated, and excavations continue. This tomb and the statues were included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1987.) The mosque and the Pagoda of the Tang Dynasty will be among the places to visit. After lunch, we will transfer to the train station for a pleasant journey towards Beijing on the high-speed train. After arriving in Beijing, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 9 - BEIJING
After breakfast, we will visit Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world (covering an area of 40 hectares and accommodating 500,000 people at a time). The flag raising and lowering ceremony of the Chinese national flag is performed every morning and evening, which varies daily based on sunrise and sunset. Every day, hundreds of people gather in the square to witness this ceremony. Next, we will explore the Forbidden City, the palace where 24 emperors lived during the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) and the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1891). This palace, named for being off-limits to ordinary citizens for five centuries, has not been used since the last Chinese emperor Puyi was expelled in 1911. We will then visit the Panda Garden, where we will observe the natural lives of the adorable pandas, and later visit the Summer Palace. Built beside an artificial lake in the 19th century, this palace is connected to the Forbidden City by a canal to allow the emperor to relax. After the palace tour, we will enter the Old Imperial Pharmacy next to Tiananmen Square to learn about traditional Chinese medicine. Afterward, we will relieve the fatigue of this busy day with a renowned Chinese foot massage lasting approximately 45 minutes. Following this delightful day, we will enjoy a dinner of Peking Duck at the restaurant, followed by free time and overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 10 - BEIJING - ISTANBUL
After breakfast, we will tour the Great Wall of China, which is a symbol of China and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built in the 9th century BC for military defense purposes, this wall was listed as a "World Heritage Site" in 1987 as a symbol of China. In the afternoon, we will visit the Underground Palace from the Ming Dynasty, where the tombs of 16 Ming Dynasty Emperors are located, of which only two have been opened. One feature of the tombs is that they are arranged according to the Feng Shui system in this valley. After dinner, we will head to the airport.
Day 11 - ISTANBUL
We depart for Istanbul at 00:10 on Turkish Airlines flight TK21. Arriving in Istanbul at 05:30, this concludes our tour.
