Sri Lanka TK 2026 (CMB-CMB)

Day 1                 ISTANBUL                                                                                   

We meet in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport Departures Terminal 3 hours before the flight. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we will fly to Colombo with a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Overnight onboard.

Day 2                 COLOMBO – HABARANA                                                                     

Arrival at Colombo Airport. After arrival, we will start our Colombo city tour. During the tour, Lotus Tower, City Hall, Consulate Street, Independence Memorial, and Gangaramaya Temple will be seen panoramically. Afterwards, free time for breakfast. At the designated meeting time, we will transfer to our hotel in Habarana. Upon arrival, free time to rest. Those who wish can join our extra

Day 3                 HABARANA                                                             

After breakfast, time at leisure. Those wishing can join our additional Sri Lanka Life & Village Tour (per person 45€). During this tour, we will explore the local way of life and taste local flavors in nearby villages. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4                 HABARANA                                                            

After breakfast, departure for Kandy. Those interested can join our extra Kandy Lake & Sigiriya Temple Rock & Dambulla Temple Tour (per person 125€). We will depart for Sigiriya at dawn. Get ready for a fascinating journey to explore Sri Lanka’s “Lion’s Rock” fortress. As we approach Sigiriya, we will be greeted by this legendary granite formation. Climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock, crossing steep stairs and ancient paths. Along the way, admire the intricate frescoes on the rock’s surface, each reflecting artistic brilliance of ancient times. Upon reaching the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the lush Sri Lankan countryside. Stand at the top of this once-royal fortress where kings reigned and retreated. The remains of the palace and surrounding gardens will reveal the architectural and engineering prowess of Sri Lanka. The most famous part of Sigiriya, the Lion’s Gate, will be our next stop. Witness the giant lion paws that guard the entrance, a symbol of the fortress’s glorious history. Explore the ruins of the royal palace and marvel at the complex water gardens below, stepping back in time to an era of wealth and grandeur. Next, we move on to the Dambulla Cave Temple. Entering Dambulla’s mystical surroundings, we will be greeted by the tranquil atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Embark on a pilgrimage through five extraordinary cave temples, each dedicated to ancient art and spirituality. Dambulla is not only temples; it also holds significant historical value as a place where ancient kings sought refuge and left magnificent cave frescoes and statues that continue to inspire us today. Our journey in Dambulla takes us into the heart of Buddhism. Witness the intricate cave paintings depicting the life and teachings of Lord Buddha, offering deep insights into a philosophy that has shaped millions of lives. Afterwards, visit Kandalama Lake, the heart of wildlife. Transfer back to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 5                 KANDY – NUWARA ELİYA                                                                     

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Nuwara Eliya with our private bus. Those interested can join our extra Tea Factory Tour (per person 25€). Ceylon Tea is renowned worldwide. We will visit a tea factory for an authentic experience around a cup of tea. Before classification, see how tea is processed and taste fresh, newly produced Ceylon Tea. After the tour, we will head to Nuwara Eliya. Known for its mountain climate and scenic views, we will visit Gregory Lake in the city center, enjoying the lake and its surroundings. Check into the hotel and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6                 NUWARA ELİYA – GALLE                                                                      

After breakfast, we will depart for Galle. Traveling in style, the journey will begin at the Ambewela train station and end in Ella. After disembarking from the train station, our vehicle will be waiting to continue the journey. Once we arrive, we will do our Galle city tour. Walking along the historic walls of Galle Fortress, we will embark on a journey through time. Strolling through the cobblestone streets lined with Dutch and Portuguese colonial architecture, we'll explore charming boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. Enjoy panoramic views of the Indian Ocean along the Galle Sails, where the sea breeze and rhythmic waves crashing on the rocks create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7                 GALLE – COLOMBO                                                                     

After breakfast in Galle, we will head to Colombo. Interested guests can join our extra Sea Turtle and Madu River Safari (per person 60€). As we step onto Sri Lanka’s sun-kissed coastlines, we will learn about vital conservation efforts to protect endangered sea turtles and their valuable nesting sites. We will see various sizes of sea turtles, some small enough to hold in your hand. We will visit nesting sites and witness close-up encounters with laying turtles. Afterwards, we will visit Madu River. In a boat tour, we will see Sri Lanka’s stunning natural beauty up close. Then, we will continue to Colombo. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 8                 COLOMBO – ISTANBUL                                                                

Early morning, we will collect our breakfast boxes from the hotel and head to Colombo Airport. (Check-out from the hotel will be at 03:00). After arriving at the airport, free time for baggage and check-in procedures. Depart for Istanbul with the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival in Istanbul, the tour concludes.
