1st Day Istanbul – Madrid
Meeting point in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport's International Departure Terminal 3 hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Madrid at 06:55 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1857. Arrival at 10:25 local time, and our panoramic city tour begins with our vehicle waiting at the airport. Madrid, the capital of Spain, is among the most visited cities in the country due to its rich history and cultural wealth. During our city tour, we will first see the Bullring (from the outside), Alcala Gate, Independence Square, Cibeles Monument, the famous Grand Via street, Bernabeu Stadium, Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the famous Prado Museum (from the outside), the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in Plaza de España, Royal Palace (from the outside), the 9-gated Plaza Mayor, and SolSquare. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day Madrid – Toledo & Segovia – Las Rozas – Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Splendid Toledo Tour (€65) and the Splendid Segovia & Las Rozas Outlet Tour (€60). (These tours will be conducted in the order deemed appropriate by our guide.) Toledo, located about 70 kilometers from Madrid, is a historical city protected by UNESCO, having hosted different cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, including Roman, Visigoth, Muslim, and Christian civilizations. Renowned for its magnificent architecture and cultural heritage from the Middle Ages, we will see the oldest cathedral in Spain, Toledo Cathedral (from the outside), churches converted from Andalusian mosques, and many other wonders during our outdoor museum city tour. After our tour, our second stop will be Segovia, known for its impressive architecture and rich cultural heritage. During our city tour here, we will see the two-thousand-year-old engineering marvel, the 15 km long and 28 meter high Segovia Aqueduct, Segovia Cathedral, the towers that inspired the Disneyland logo, Alcazar Palace (from the outside), its old streets, and Jewish neighborhoods. After the tour, we will take a short trip to Las Rozas, where you can find discounted products from leading fashion brands in Spain and around the world. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel in Madrid. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Madrid – Sevilla
After an early breakfast at the hotel, we set off toward Sevilla, the capital of Andalucia. Sevilla is a historical city known for its historical and cultural richness in the Andalusia region of Spain. During our city tour in Sevilla, we will first visit Maria Luisa Park, which houses Plaza de España, and Plaza America, as well as the world’s third-largest cathedral, Sevilla Cathedral (from the outside), where Christopher Columbus's tomb is located. Right next to the cathedral, we will see the Giralda Tower, the last remaining part of the mosque that the cathedral was built on. Following this, we will walk through the Archives of the Indies, which recorded all maritime expeditions to the Americas up until the 19th century, leading us to the old narrow streets of Santa Cruz, known as "old" Sevilla. Our walk will conclude with a visit to the Torre del Oro, which is now a sea museum and was an old tobacco factory. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Sevilla. In the evening, guests may optionally participate in the Splendid Flamenco Fire Tour (€55). Sevilla is one of the birthplaces of flamenco and is considered one of Spain’s most important centers for flamenco culture. You will be enchanted while watching flamenco dancers during our Flamenco night. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Sevilla – Cordoba – Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who want can join the optional Splendid Cordoba Tour (€55). Cordoba is a historical city located in the Andalusia region of Spain, famous for its historical and cultural wealth, impressive architecture, and buildings reflecting the Islamic culture of Andalusia. Cordoba is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Spain. After a one-and-a-half-hour journey, we will first be greeted by the Guadalquivir River upon arrival at Cordoba. We will enter the city by walking over the historic Roman bridge and passing through the Roman gate. In this two-thousand-year-old city, we will witness the glory of the world's largest mosques, the Great Mosque of Cordoba, which rises on 850 columns, alongside our guide and receive informative insights about this magnificent work. After our tour of the Great Mosque, we will continue our walking tour, seeing the clean old streets and the old inn reflecting all the intricacies of Andalusian architecture, as well as the houses of Cordoba. After the tour, we will return to the hotel in Sevilla to collect our luggage and set off for Granada. Granada is a historical and cultural city located in the heart of the Andalusia region, famous for its historical heritage, music, dance, stunning views, and the Alhambra Palace. The city is one of Spain's top tourist destinations, attracting millions of visitors each year. During our city tour here, we will see Gran Via Avenue, BibRambla and City Hall Squares, Granada Cathedral (from the outside), its first university Madraza, Silk Bazaar, and the old Nasrid Caravanserai. After the tour, guests may optionally participate in the Splendid Neighborhoods (Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy Neighborhood) tour (€45). Albaicin is a historic and enchanting neighborhood of Granada. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is renowned for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and scenic hills. It reflects the traces of Andalusian Islamic culture and architecture, showcasing Granada's history. After our tour, we will enjoy a drink in fully handcrafted caves while watching a Gypsy show and observing their lifestyles. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
5th Day Granada – Alhambra Palace – Valencia
After breakfast at the hotel, guests may join the optional Splendid Alhambra Palace Tour (€70). (Please note that Alhambra Palace has a daily visitor limit, and our visit to the palace may be subject to availability, excluding the harem. We kindly request that you notify your travel agency of your participation during reservation.) Alhambra Palace, one of Granada's greatest treasures, is one of the most dazzling and striking examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture. Being one of Spain's most visited historical sites, Alhambra is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and has gained world renown. This famous site began construction in the 13th century on the Sabika hill overlooking Granada, serving as a defensive fortress and palace, and the construction continued until the 15th century. Due to the reddish earth used in its construction, it has been named Alhambra, meaning 'the red'. Following our tour, we head to Valencia. Valencia, located on the east coast of Spain, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, is a city with a rich history and modernity. As the third-largest city in Spain, Valencia attracts visitors with its rich history, culture, and art. Upon our arrival, we will begin our city tour, where we will see the City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Arts and Sciences Museum, the historic Central Market, and the old Silk Exchange. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel, check into our rooms, and have free time. Overnight at the hotel.
6th Day Valencia – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Barcelona. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Barcelona, Spain's second-largest city and the vibrant capital of the Catalonia region, is world-renowned for its beauty. Bathed in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. Barcelona attracts millions of visitors each year with its stunning architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with Antoni Gaudi's unique works. During our city tour, we will visit La Sagrada Familia Church, Columbus Monument, Montjuic Hill, La Rambla Avenue, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and have free time. Overnight at the hotel.
7th Day Barcelona – Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum) – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, guests wishing to do so may join the optional Splendid Northern Catalonia Gems (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum) tour (€70). Our first stop will be Girona. A historic city located in the northeast of Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, known for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and fortifications. During our tour here, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). After the tour, we head to the town of Figueras. Figueras, located in the northeast of Girona, is known as the birthplace of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction in Figueras is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali established this museum to give back something to the place where he was born and to showcase his works. Today, the museum possesses the largest collection of Dali's works and is considered Dali's greatest masterpiece since he designed the entire building. The museum houses over 4,000 works created by Dali using different techniques. After the tour, we return to Barcelona. Guests can optionally join the Gaudi’s Splendid Masterpiece (Park Guell) & Gothic Quarter tour (€50). Our first stop will be Park Guell. One of Antoni Gaudi's magnificent works, Park Guell is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Known as a fairy tale park, it creates a whimsical atmosphere with its colorful stairs and fantasy houses. After seeing this incredible work by Gaudi, our next stop will be the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the captivating atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow, labyrinthine streets from that era, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls. Among the most important structures in the quarter are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
8th Day Barcelona – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1856 at 18:30. Arrival at 23:00 local time and the end of our tour.
