1st Day Istanbul – Basel – Strasbourg Istanbul Airport's International Departure terminal, meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Basel at 07:30 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. Arriving at 09:40 local time, our city tour of Basel begins with our vehicle waiting at the airport. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that hosts both modern and historical textures, albeit small in size it holds many treasures. During our city tour, we will visit Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus is located, the city’s main square Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the tour, we proceed to Strasbourg, one of France's most beautiful cities and the jewel of the Alsace region. While exploring Strasbourg, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time in Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval neighborhoods. Known for its fairy-tale-like nature and historical buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, Strasbourg is a must-see place. It also holds historical significance as the place where the French National Anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, presenting itself as a city where Alsatian culture blends with French architecture. Additionally, during our city tour, we will see Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the traditional Alsatian Houses in the Petit France area. After the tour, guests who wish can join the tour of the Magnificent Fairy Tale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) for an extra cost of 100 Euros. Throughout the tour, we will find every opportunity to take photos; our first visit will be Eguisheim. Eguisheim, which received the title of "Favorite French Village" in 2013, is a village where history and nature dance together. The colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create the postcard view of Equesheim. After our tour, we will move to Colmar, famous for its medieval buildings, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. While wandering in the well-preserved streets of Colmar, we will visit St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stones, the Little Venice reminiscent of Italy’s Venice with its small canals, Maison Pfister which is one of Colmar's oldest houses, and the Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building adorned with faces. Our third stop is Kaysersberg, a town from the Middle Ages, part of the enchanting Alsace region known for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical texture. Notably, the Château de Kaysersberg castle from the 13th century is one of the town's most apparent symbols, and the Sainte-Croix Church in the city center draws attention with its Gothic architecture. After our tour, we will head to Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting cities in Alsace, known for its semi-timbered houses that give it charm. This historical village captivates its visitors with its beautifully flower-adorned old houses, narrow streets, and medieval texture surrounded by walls. During our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the old walls of the village to feel the medieval atmosphere. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg. Overnight stay in our hotel in Strasbourg or its vicinity. 2nd Day Strasbourg – Luxembourg After having breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Luxembourg. Upon arrival, our city tour of Luxembourg begins. Notable places to visit include Notre Dame Cathedral, the Duke’s Palace, the Town Hall, and the Constitution Square. After the tour, guests wishing to join the optional tour of the Magnificent History and Mosaics (Trier & Remich & Schengen) can do so for an extra cost of 55 Euros. Our first destination is Trier, which was founded by the Romans in 15 BC and holds the title of the oldest city in Germany. Located in the Moselle Wine Region along the banks of the Moselle River, we will see Porta Nigra, the largest Roman city gate standing north of the Alps, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Roman ruins, St. Peter's Cathedral and the Church of Mary, the Constantine Basilica, and the house where Karl Marx, the father of scientific socialism, was born. After our visit to Trier, we proceed to Remich, a place known for being the cheapest shopping location due to Luxembourg's low tax policies and its border position, where you can purchase chocolate, coffee, and alcoholic beverages quite affordably. Finally, we will visit Schengen, the point where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet, where the agreement eliminating passport controls among European Union member countries was signed. In this village, known as one of Europe’s significant wine regions, you will have the opportunity to taste local wines and see the monument and building where the Schengen Agreement was signed. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 3rd Day Luxembourg – Paris After having breakfast at the hotel, we head towards one of the world’s most romantic cities, Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, we will see places including Charles de Gaulle and the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Louvre Museum and its pyramid, Etoile Square, Grand Palais and Petit Palais Exhibition Palaces, Place de la Concorde and Obelisk, the French Parliament building, Alexandre III Bridge, the Seine River, Napoleon's Tomb, and the Eiffel Tower. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel and have free time. Overnight at the hotel. 4th Day Paris After having breakfast at the hotel, guests can optionally join the scheduled Magnificent Paris Masterpieces & Seine River Boat (Eiffel Tower & Seine River Boat Tour & Montmartre Artists Hill & Sacre Coeur Basilica & Notre Dame Cathedral) tour for an extra cost of 100 Euros. Our first stop is the Eiffel Tower, the iconic structure of the city visited by millions of tourists each year. You will have the chance to see Paris from above by ascending to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower. Afterward, we embark on a boat tour on the Seine River, where we will see the historic sites on both banks. Next, we ascend teleferically to Montmartre, the highest hill in Paris that has traces of important artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Toulouse Lautrec, Dalida, Vincent Van Gogh, and Jean Marais. The first place to see here will be the Sacre Coeur Basilica. After seeing this amazing structure up close, we will have a break in Tertre Square, where you can shop and have your portrait painted, followed by a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of French history and a crucial part of Paris's skyline, built on King Louis VII’s orders between 1137-1180 to showcase Paris's political, economic, and cultural power to the world. After viewing this incredible structure, we take a short photo break. Then we will transfer back to the hotel. In the evening, guests may join the optional tour of Paris under the Magnificent Lights for an extra cost of 30 Euros. During this tour, you will have the chance to see the Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, the Louvre Museum, and many more boulevards, buildings, and squares illuminated by lights. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 5th Day Paris – Brussels We set off for Brussels. Noted as one of the most remarkable stops on Benelux tours, Brussels stands out for its versatility. Thanks to its cosmopolitan structure, the city offers many different opportunities to travelers. Upon arrival, we will see places including the Royal Palace, Chinese and Japanese Houses, Brussels Cathedral, the city square, the Stock Exchange Building, Atomium Monument, and the Manneken Pis Statue. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel and have free time. Overnight at the hotel. 6th Day Brussels – Bruges – Ghent – Amsterdam After having breakfast at the hotel, we head towards Amsterdam. Along the way, guests can optionally join the scheduled tour of the Magnificent Cities of Bruges & Ghent for an extra cost of 75 Euros. Our first stop is the stunning city of Bruges, known for its beauty, which has become one of Europe’s most visited cities; it was protected by UNESCO in 1991. Famous for its medieval architecture, canals, narrow streets, bridges, historical buildings, and squares, Bruges has managed to become the centerpiece of Europe. After exploring this beautiful city, we proceed to Gent, another city where time seems to stand still. With a history of 1400 years, Ghent is built at the junction of the Schelde and Lys rivers and is one of the largest and richest cities of the Middle Ages. After the tour in this city, we will move to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands bordered by Germany in the east and Belgium in the south. During our city tour in Amsterdam, we will visit Dam Square, Central Station, the National Monument, Royal Palace, Flower Market, and the Red Light District. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 7th Day Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Marken – Volendam – Giethoorn – Amsterdam After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, guests wishing can optionally join the scheduled tour of the Magnificent Fairy Tale Villages and Water Canals (Zaanse Schans & Marken & Volendam & Giethoorn Hobbit Village) for an extra cost of 100 Euros. Our tour begins with the Zaanse Schans village, one of the hidden paradises of the Netherlands. With its historical windmills dating back to the 17th century and untouched nature, Zaanse Schans possesses beauties that cannot be found elsewhere in the world. You will feel as if you are wandering in an open-air museum in this historical windmill and wooden houses village. Our second stop is Marken. Once an island but later connected to the mainland, we will explore this wonderful island before heading to Volendam. Volendam impresses visitors with its harbor, characteristic Dutch houses, and traditional-costumed people. It's a great place to enjoy delicious seafood and cheese, as well as to buy inexpensive souvenirs. Our last stop will be Giethoorn Hobbit Village. Regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in the world, Giethoorn is considered one of the most fairy-tale-like places in Europe. It gained popularity after the filming of the movie “Fanfare” in 1958 and has been increasingly attracting tourists, hosting over 800,000 visitors annually. After the tour, we transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 8th Day Amsterdam – Cologne – Düsseldorf – Istanbul After having breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Cologne. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Cologne is one of Germany's most important centers of transportation, culture, science, art, and commerce. During our city tour, we will see the Gothic Cathedral, the Rhine River, and shopping streets. Following the tour, we travel to Düsseldorf, another significant city in Germany known for its culture, art, and industry. In Düsseldorf, we will see the revolving restaurant Rheinturm, Schloss Benrath where many of Germany's most prominent thinkers were educated, the shopping street Königsallee, and the beautiful green spaces of Hofgarten. Afterward, we head to the airport. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1528 at 18:40. Arriving at 23:00 local time, the tour concludes.
