1st Day: Çeşme - Chios Island

We meet at 08:00 at the check-in office at the entrance of Çeşme Customs Port. After passport control, we start our pleasant journey in the blue of the Aegean at 08:45.
When we arrive at Chios Island Port, we will meet at our office after the entry procedures and start exploring Chios Island, the hidden treasure of the Aegean.

After visiting the Aploterya, the market of Chios Island, the Mecidiye Mosque built by Sultan Abdulmecit, and the Vounaki Square, which is the largest and most bustling square of Chios Island, we will visit the Chios Castle, which was built during the Byzantine period but later became the administrative center of the island during the Genoese and Ottoman periods, and the Ottoman artifacts inside it. Afterward, we will meet at our bus at the specified time and start our North Island tour.

Our first stop is the seaside 4 windmills (Tabakika), which are one of the most important symbols of the island. The historical windmills were used to draw water to the tanneries (tabakika), which gave the region its name. They have recently been restored with the contributions of the municipality and have become a must-see memory point for all tourists visiting the island. After a photo break here, we continue our tour.

Our next stop is Daskalopetra, the area where the famous poet of ancient Chios, Homer, contributed to world literature with his works Iliad and Odyssey. It is a large rock that was turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC. This beautiful memory point will make you question the lifestyle of thousands of years ago and the art understanding of that period.

Then we will have our lunch break in Langada, the cutest fishing village on the island. At the classic Greek taverns (restaurants) by the sea, you will have a chance to taste traditional mezes and classic dishes of Greek cuisine, as well as the freshest seafood.

On the return journey, we have a photo stop at the Agios Isidoros Church, one of the symbolic points of the island over the sea. It is said that the story of mastic gum started with this Saint. At the end of our tour, we are transferred to our hotel and complete our check-in procedures.

Overnight: At our hotel on Chios Island.

2nd Day: Chios Island

After breakfast at our hotel, we take our seats in the vehicle and start our tour towards the southern villages of the island, known as Mastihahoria, which has the monopoly on mastic production in the world. Our first stop on the tour is Armolia Village, famous for its handmade ceramics for hundreds of years, where we take a short break to visit one of the famous ceramic workshops.

Our next stop is Mesta, the best preserved medieval castle-village in Chios Island, which takes us on a journey back to the 13th century when it was built. We stroll through the labyrinth-like alleys and reach the town square where we take a coffee break. After visiting the Taxiarchis Church, we leave the village. Our next village is Pyrgi, which is unique in the world with geometric patterns on the houses. Our guide will provide detailed information about the technique known as Ksista, which has been practiced since the Genoese. Then, we go to a tavern by the sea for lunch. Here, our guests can choose from various seafood and meze options on the menu. At the end of our tour, we transfer back to our hotel.

Overnight: At our hotel on Chios Island.

3rd Day: Chios Island

After breakfast at our hotel, the entire day is free time.

Our guests can individually explore the island, shop in Chios city center, enjoy pleasant walks along the beach, or spend the day at the beaches if they wish. Our guide will provide necessary information for any extra tours that guests want to join throughout the day.

Overnight: At our hotel on Chios Island.

The visa issued under this program does not constitute a Schengen visa. It is only valid for the visited Greek island, and is issued for a maximum of 6 nights and 7 days for single entry-exit. During the duration of the visa, you can only stay on the island you entered; inter-island transit is not allowed. It is mandatory to exit from the same island at the end of the visit.

  • The Gate Visa is not finalized in advance like a Schengen visa.
Once the application file is prepared, the passenger departs from the Turkish ports without a visa.
The final decision is made at the customs point of the respective Greek island on the travel day.
  • Generally, no information is provided before travel.
However, in some adverse situations, information may be received stating that the application was rejected 2-3 days before the trip.
  • No reason is provided for rejected applications.
Moreover, no refund of the visa fee is made.
