01.DAY ISTANBUL AIRPORT – ROME – CIVITAVECCHIA
We will meet at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 04:30 in the morning, and then depart for Rome at 09:10 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1861. After arriving in Rome at 09:50 local time, we will transfer to the Savona port where the MSC SEAVIEW ship will depart. After check-in and passport procedures, we will settle into our cabins and enjoy some free time. Our ship will depart from the port at 19:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
02.DAY MESSINA (TAORMINA)
Our ship will dock at Messina port at 12:00 noon. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can participate in the optional "Taormina Tour" organized by our guide. During this tour, we will visit the world-famous town of Taormina, passing through stunning landscapes. Among the places we will see in Taormina are the Cathedral, Corvaia Palace, and the Roman Theatre (from the outside), as well as Umberto Street. After some free time for shopping, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 20:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
03.DAY VALLETTA
Our ship will dock at Valletta port at 09:00 in the morning. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional "Mosta & Valletta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk tour" organized by our guide. Our first stop will be Mosta. During this tour, we will visit the Santa Maria Assunta basilica, which has the third-largest dome in Europe. The exterior diameter of this giant basilica is 56.2 meters, and its interior paintings were done by the painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see the replica of a 200 kg bomb that was dropped by Nazi planes in 1942 during World War II, which penetrated the dome and lodged in the church floor without exploding, and we will learn about the interior and exterior architecture of the church. Afterwards, we will visit Malta's former capital Mdina, which served as the natural set for many scenes of the famous series Game of Thrones. While walking through the narrow streets of this medieval city, known as the silent city, we will see the magnificent Saint Paul Cathedral, the Falson Palace built by the noble Falson family from the 13th century, the Baroque-style Carmelite Monastery built in the 17th century, the Vilhena Palace, and the old houses of Mdina. We will continue our tour by visiting the fishing village called Marsaxlokk. You must not miss the view of Luzzo, which has cute colorful fishing boats unique to Malta. There will also be free time to enjoy lunch at local restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood menus during our time in this charming fishing village. After our free time, we will head back to Valletta. We will conduct a city tour of Valletta. Valletta was selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2018 by the European Union Council. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see Valletta, surrounded by magnificent walls, from the outside. After the bus tour, we will explore the vibrant streets of Valletta with our guide. Our first stop will be the Barracca Gardens, which are perched on the upper section of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. The gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, also offer great views of the Grand Harbor and the three old cities surrounded by walls. At the end of our tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
04.DAY AT SEA
This day will be spent at sea, where our ship will offer you many alternatives. Those who wish can enjoy the ship's open and closed pools, jacuzzis, and sunbathing areas. Others can shop at the duty-free stores, try their luck at the casino, or enjoy various music and entertainment events that will take place in numerous bars. All day long different dining alternatives will be waiting for you. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
05.DAY BARCELONA
Our ship will dock at the Barcelona port at 08:00 in the morning. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional "Barcelona City Tour" organized by our guide. Our city tour in Barcelona, one of the most beautiful metropolises in Europe, will start with our private bus waiting for us at the port. Places we will see include La Rambla Street, Cristoforo Colombo Monument, Maremagnum Artificial Harbor, Barceloneta Beach, the Olympic area and port, Catalunya Square, Paseo de Gracia street, where Gaudi turned his houses into a street museum, and his most fundamental work, Sagrada Familia. During our tour, we will go up Montjuic hill to take panoramic photos. After some free time for shopping, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
06.DAY MARSEILLE
Our ship will dock at the Marseille port at 08:00 in the morning. After breakfast, there will be free time for shopping and personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional "Marseille City Tour & Aix En Provence Tour" organized by our guide. In the important maritime city of Marseille, we will start our tour by visiting the "Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral", which is located on a high hill. After this visit, we will see Longchamps Fountain, Saint Charles train station, the old city, Hotel de Ville, and the marina area, which are some of the places to visit. Later, we will go to Aix en Provence, which is located 40 minutes away from Marseille. The visit will begin with the famous St. Saviour’s Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century and features a Romanesque façade and a vaulted walkway. Then we will get a chance to stroll through the ancient inns in the old section of the city and see the Mazarino neighborhood built by the brother of Cardinal Mazarino in the 17th century. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
07.DAY GENOA
Our ship will dock at Genoa port at 08:00 in the morning. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the optional "Genoa & Portofino Tour" organized by our guide. We will travel to the city center of the port city of Genoa with our special vehicle. Genoa was once the capital of an important maritime kingdom that ruled over the Mediterranean geography, including Istanbul. We will see important landmarks such as San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Doge's Palace, and the house of Christopher Columbus. In the second part, we will go to Portofino, a song-infused town of lovers located about 1 hour from Genoa. After some free time in this peaceful seaside town, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
08.DAY CIVITAVECCHIA (ROME) - ISTANBUL AIRPORT
Our ship will dock at Civitavecchia port at 07:00 in the morning. After breakfast, we will carry out our ship disembarkation procedures and then we will leave the ship. We will head to Rome Airport with our special vehicle waiting for us at the port. After our arrival at the airport and completion of check-in and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1864 at 19:45. We will arrive at Istanbul Airport at 00:20 local time. End of our tour.
