Life on Cruise Ships and Short Information Cruise ships are equipped with the latest technology and can be likened to floating deluxe hotels. The daily program of activities can be followed through the ship’s newsletter, distributed to your cabin the evening before. This newsletter includes daily activities, weather information, port details, and reservation contact information for restaurants and spas, essentially informing you about what is happening on the ship that day. The primary language onboard is English. If you are on a guided tour in Turkish, our guide will support you with all details from ship newsletters to restaurant menus, and prepare special reports for our guests. At check-in, you need to deliver your luggage, passport, and credit card information (a deposit will be made for possible expenses) at the check-in desk located on the ship. Your passport will be returned at the end of the cruise after the voyage begins. After delivering your passport, the ship will issue a Boarding-Card. This card functions as your passport, cabin key, and for all transactions onboard. It contains your name, cabin number, and meal seating information. There is a dress code for passengers on the ship. Since the ship hosts special events such as the captain’s welcome dinner and gala night, it is advised to bring elegant and formal clothing. You can follow the specific events and special occasions through the ship’s newsletter. Dress code is also specified there. There are buffet-style restaurants available with open access for 20 hours a day, including main restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as fast-food points and open buffets. The ship also features themed restaurants like Thai and Steak House, where reservations can be made for special chef-prepared meals. These thematic restaurants are extra charge. For families with children, many options and activities are available, including children’s pools and play clubs. Cruise ships are designed to remain stable and not sway during travel, and ship captains are specially trained.
