Day 1 İstanbul – Stockholm We meet 3 hours before the flight at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Stockholm on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1793 at 08:15. Upon arrival at 10:50 local time, our city tour of Stockholm begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Stockholm, one of Northern Europe’s most beautiful, peaceful, and colorful cities, is the capital and largest city of Sweden and has long been the country’s center of culture, art, and economy. With its colorful buildings, historic structures, and natural beauty, Stockholm has always been a favorite destination for tourists. During our city tour in Stockholm, we will see the City Hall, Kungsträdgården Park, the National Theatre Building, the Stock Exchange Building, the Gamla Stan district, which means old town, the Royal Palace, and Fjällgatan Hill. Day 2 Stockholm After breakfast at the hotel, we join the Glorious Treasures of Sweden (Uppsala & Djurgården Island and Vasa Museum) tour. Our first stop is Uppsala. As the 4th largest city in Sweden, Uppsala is also one of the country’s oldest and most historical places. With its unique cultural beauty and fascinating history, it adds even more charm to its appeal. During our city tour here, we will see Uppsala Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Scandinavia; Uppsala University, the oldest university in Scandinavia with a history dating back 550 years; and the Fyris River, which divides the city into two. After this tour, our next stop will be Djurgården Island. A magical island located in the fairy-tale heart of Stockholm, Djurgården seems like something out of a fairy tale. As you walk along the old stone paths of Skansen, the melodies of the past will accompany you. Once a private estate of the royal family for a long time, Djurgården also has the distinction of being the world’s first national city park. After our tour here, we go to the Vasa Museum. The Vasa Museum is a magnificent building that bears the traces of the 17th-century Vasa warship. Raised from underwater in 1961, the Vasa has survived to the present day like a time capsule. Oslo is a city famous for its high standard of living and natural beauty. Founded in 1049 as a port city and previously known as “Christiania,” the city took the name Oslo in 1925. Upon arrival, the places we will see during our city tour include the Royal Palace, City Hall, the National Theatre, Oslo Cathedral, Karl Johans Street, the Opera House, Akershus Fortress, and Frogner Park. We leave the hotel early and head out for our full-day tour. Göteborg is a paradise-like city located on Sweden’s west coast, near the Atlantic Ocean. The city, which is Sweden’s second-largest after Stockholm and Scandinavia’s fourth-largest, was built on the Göta River and enchants visitors with its historical and cultural richness. It is also Scandinavia’s largest port city. In this city famous for its canals, places to be seen include Avenue Boulevard, Gustav Adolf Square, the Poseidon statue, the Botanical Garden, and the opera and theater buildings. After our city tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 6 Göteborg – Malmö – Copenhagen After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Malmö. Malmö is a place known for its long bridge, parks, and historical buildings. Located in the southern part of the country in the Skåne region, Malmö is Sweden’s third-largest city and the sixth-largest city among the Scandinavian countries. During our city tour here, we will see Stortorget Square, the City Hall, Lilla Torg Square, lively with its cafes and restaurants, and St. Peter’s Church. After the tour, we depart for Copenhagen. In Danish, its name means “trading harbor,” and Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and its most populous city. The city is known for its unique architecture, colorful buildings, and lively harbor areas. According to research, the Danish people are regarded as the happiest people in the world. During the city tour in Copenhagen, we will see Nyhavn Canal, Christiansborg Palace, the Glyptotek, Amalienborg Palace, and Strøget shopping street. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 7 Copenhagen After breakfast at the hotel, we join the Glorious Castles of Denmark (Kronborg & Frederiksborg) tour. Our first stop is Kronborg Castle. Located in the city of Helsingør, Denmark, Kronborg Castle is one of the country’s most famous historical structures. Built in the 15th century, this impressive castle has preserved its medieval grandeur to the present day and was once one of the important residences of the Danish royal family. It is best known for hosting William Shakespeare’s Hamlet; therefore, the castle holds great significance in both history and literature. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, Kronborg is of great historical importance and is an outstanding architectural structure. After the tour, our second stop will be Frederiksborg Palace. Frederiksborg Palace is an impressive structure located in the city of Hillerød, Denmark, on a beautiful lake and considered one of the finest examples of Northern Renaissance architecture. Built in the 16th century by King Christian II, this palace was used as one of the elegant residences of the Danish royal family. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 8 Copenhagen – İstanbul After breakfast at the hotel, free time until the time specified by the tour guide. Then transfer to Stockholm Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1786 at 19:20. Arrival at 23:40 local time and end of our tour.
