Day 1 Istanbul – Barcelona Meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal in front of the Turkish Airlines counter 3 hours before departure. Upon arrival at 10:35 local time, our vehicle awaiting us at the airport will start a panoramic city tour. This magnificent city, bathed in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, offers an exceptional blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. The city is like an open-air museum, decorated with unique works by Antoni Gaudí. Day 2 Barcelona – Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum) – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join an optional grand northern Catalonia tour (70 Euros) called “The Jewel of Northern Catalonia” (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum). Our first stop will be Girona, a historic city located northeast of Catalonia, about 100 km north of Barcelona. Known for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and fortifications, highlights include the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). Afterward, we head to Figueras. Located northeast of Girona, Figueras is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the renowned Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction here is the Salvador Dali Museum, which Dali established to leave his works and exhibits. The museum houses over 4,000 works created using various techniques, making it the largest Dali collection and considered Dali’s greatest work as it was designed by him. Our first stop will be Park Güell, one of Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the fairy-tale park, it features colorful stairs and whimsical pavilions, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere. After visiting this incredible work by Gaudi, the second stop will be the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow labyrinthine streets, gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls. Notable landmarks include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, guests can optionally join a Glamorous Sitges Tour (40 Euros).
