Structures reflecting Roman, Visigoth, Arab, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, El Greco's paintings, traditional bakeries, Damascene shops, and the famous cathedral make it a prime touristic pilgrimage site. Another tradition in Toledo is almond paste making dating back to the time when Arabs captured the city. Tasting this mouthwatering candy completes the visit.
