Tour details
Day 1: Izmir – Stuttgart – Strasbourg Arrive at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport at the international departure terminal in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter, 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 962 at 04:10 to Stuttgart. Upon arrival in Stuttgart at 06:15 local time, we will transfer to our vehicle and head to Strasbourg. Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region, offers a journey through history as we explore the medieval neighborhoods with Europe’s largest cobblestone paving. Its natural beauty and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many art works make it a highly worth-seeing destination. Additionally, as the place where France’s national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, Strasbourg holds historical significance. As a city blending Alsace culture with French architecture, during our city tour, we will visit Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the traditional Alsace houses of Petit France. Afterwards, guests can join an optional tour to the Fairy Tale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim, Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr) for an extra 100 Euros. Our first visit is Eguisheim, awarded “Favorite French Village” in 2013, where the dance between history and nature creates a charming village. Its colorful houses reflecting typical Alsace architecture form postcard-perfect views. Then, we head to Colmar, a city well-preserved since medieval times, famous for its half-timbered houses, gothic churches, and scenic canals resembling Venice. Key sights include Saint Martin’s Cathedral built from pink stone, Little Venice with its charming canals, Maison Pfister, and Maison des Têtes with Renaissance façades. Next, we visit Kaysersberg, a medieval town known for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and the Château de Kaysersberg castle from the 13th century, along with Sainte-Croix Church exhibiting Gothic architecture. Our final stop is Riquewihr, a picturesque village with half-timbered houses, colorful flowers, narrow streets, and historic walls. We will also see the remains of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the old city walls to experience the medieval ambiance. After the tour, transfer back to our hotel in Strasbourg or nearby for overnight stay. Day 2: Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Strasbourg After breakfast at the hotel, free time is available. Guests who wish can join an optional tour called the Magnificent Germany Pair (Baden Baden & Heidelberg) for an additional 85 Euros. First, we visit Baden Baden, a nature-filled resort city famous for its sanatoriums, cultural venues, thermal baths, and Europe’s most renowned casino. It has inspired many writers and composers. After exploring Baden Baden, we proceed to Heidelberg, a magnificent city with medieval streets, squares, and architecture that will make you feel like stepping back in time. This elegant and tranquil city will greet you with harmony in architecture and colors. Highlights of our city tour include Hauptstrasse street, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle. Afterwards, we transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg or nearby for the night. Day 3: Strasbourg – Schaffhausen Rhine Falls – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg After breakfast at the hotel, free time is available. Guests can optionally join an organized tour of the Magnificent Rhine Falls and Swiss cities (Rhine Falls, Zurich, Lucerne) for 110 Euros. Our first stop is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. As the water from the Rhine surges, it is a peaceful haven where you can enjoy the dance of blue waters. After experiencing this breathtaking power, we head to Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city after Zurich and Geneva, known for its historical center, Gothic churches, and historic buildings. Key sights include Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and Saint Peter’s Church—Europe's largest clock tower—and we will stroll along Bahnhofstrasse, the city’s shopping hub. Then, we proceed to Lucerne, a city nestled in the Swiss Alps, rich in history. Here, we will see the Lion Monument created in honor of Swiss soldiers who fell protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and Lake Lucerne’s stunning view. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel in Strasbourg or nearby for an overnight stay. Day 4: Strasbourg – Basel – Izmir After breakfast, check out from the rooms and transfer to Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, blends both modern and historic elements in a compact area rich in treasures. Key sights include the Basel Cathedral, where Dutch Renaissance writer Erasmus is buried; Marktplatz Square; the Government Building; and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the tour, (guidance will specify the time), transfer to the airport for your flight.
