Day 1 Istanbul – Basel – Strasbourg – Eguisheim – Colmar – Kaysersberg – Riquewihr – Strasbourg
Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures hall of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Basel at 07:30 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. Arriving in Basel at 09:40 local time, our vehicle will be waiting to take us to Strasbourg, one of France’s most beautiful cities and the gem of the Alsace region. While sightseeing in Strasbourg, you'll feel like taking a journey through history in its largest medieval cobblestone old town. With natural beauty and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and numerous artworks, it is well worth seeing. Additionally, Strasbourg is of historical importance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written. It is a city where French architecture blends with Alsace culture. During our city tour, visiting Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the traditional Alsace houses in Petit France district will be included. Afterward, guests can optionally join an extra tour called the Magnificent Alsace Fairy Tale Villages (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) for 100 Euros. Our first stop on this photo-filled tour is Eguisheim, awarded “Favorite French Village” in 2013. This village is where history and nature dance together, reflecting typical Alsace architecture with colorful houses and postcard-like scenery. Afterward, heading to Colmar, known for its well-preserved medieval streets. While walking through Colmar's streets, you'll see the Saint Martin's Cathedral made entirely of pink stones, Little Venice with small canals reminiscent of Venice, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and the Renaissance-style Maison des Têtes. Our next stop is Kaysersberg, a medieval town in Alsace, known for its enchanting views. Praised for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historic atmosphere, it features the Château de Kaysersberg from the 13th century and the Sainte-Croix Church with Gothic architecture. Our last stop is Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most captivating cities with half-timbered houses, colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval walls. Walk along the old walls and see the remains of Riquewihr Castle, experiencing the medieval atmosphere. After this, transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg or surroundings. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests can optionally join an extra tour called the Magnificent Germany Duo (Baden Baden & Heidelberg) for 85 Euros. Our first stop is Baden Baden, a natural oxygen-rich city, culture and arts hub, with thermal baths and Europe’s most famous casino. It’s an inspiring destination that has inspired many writers and composers. After exploring Baden Baden, we move to Heidelberg, another magnificent German city. Its streets, squares, and structures evoke the Middle Ages, providing a journey back in time. Heidelberg welcomes visitors with its elegant architecture and vibrant colors. During our city tour, we will see Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle. Then, return to our hotel for the night in Strasbourg or nearby.
Day 3 Strasbourg – Schaffhausen Rhine Falls – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg
After breakfast, free time at the hotel. Guests may optionally join an extra tour called the Magnificent Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne) for 110 Euros. Our first stop is the natural wonder, Rhine Falls, which is 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, making it Europe’s largest waterfall. Surrounded by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, it is a paradise where you can relax while watching the dance of the blue waters. Following this, we visit Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city after Zurich and Geneva, with its historic center, stunning Gothic churches, and historical buildings. We will see Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and St. Peter’s Church, the largest clock tower in Europe, then enjoy shopping at Bahnhofstrasse. Afterward, we proceed to Lucerne, a charming city nestled in the Swiss Alps. In Lucerne, see the Lion Monument honoring 800 Swiss soldiers who protected King Louis XVI and his family, Chapel Bridge, and Lake Lucerne’s magnificent view. After sightseeing, transfer back to our hotel in Strasbourg or surroundings. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Strasbourg – Freiburg – Basel – Istanbul
After breakfast and check-out, head to Freiburg, Germany’s fourth-largest city, located near the Black Forest. Known for its natural beauty and medieval history, the city offers sights such as Münster Cathedral, Markthalle (Indoor Market), Münsterplatz (Main Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau. After touring Freiburg, we proceed to Basel. Arrival in Basel and city tour begins. Basel is Switzerland’s third-largest city after Zurich and Geneva, rich in both modern and historic aspects. Places to see include Basel Minster, where Dutch Renaissance writer Erasmus is buried, Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the city tour, transfer to Basel Airport. After completing baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Istanbul at 18:55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1926. Arriving in Istanbul at 23:05 local time, our tour concludes.
