Day 1: Istanbul – Casablanca – Marrakech Arrival in Casablanca, meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in the departure hall of Istanbul Airport, three hours before the flight. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we will depart to Marrakech with Turkish Airlines flight TK 617 at 11:50. Arriving in Casablanca at 14:50 local time, our vehicle awaits us at the airport, and our city tour of Marrakech begins. After arriving in Marrakech, which will take us back to centuries with its narrow streets, we start exploring the city named "Mur Akush" in Berber, meaning "Land of God." Marrakech is also known as the "Red City" due to its famous red walls and is one of the country's most important tourist centers. During our city tour, we will visit the Bahia Palace, which offers a wonderful insight into what it was like to be noble in 19th-century Morocco, the Koutoubia Minaret, which is a symbol of the city, the Majorelle Gardens, home to plant collections from around the world, and Djemaa El Fna Square, called the “Souks and Miracles Square,” which is the heart of the city. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech After breakfast at the hotel, join the UNESCO World Heritage site Essaouira Grand Tour. Located on the Atlantic coast, Essaouira has hosted civilizations over the centuries, with its medina (old city), white city walls, narrow streets, and traditional markets. The city center is on UNESCO's "World Heritage" list. Known as a fishing port, Essaouira is a tranquil seaside town where art and culture blend. This atmosphere has attracted many famous figures like Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, and Orson Welles, making it an art and culture hub. The city has also hosted scenes from the famous Game of Thrones series. In our tour, we will see the Essaouira walls and fortress, the fish market at Essaouira Harbor, and the medina. The city features elegant traditional Moroccan architecture and offers opportunities for shopping while exploring. After this tour, we return to Marrakech and our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 3: Marrakech – Film Studios – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Ouarzazate. On the way, our first stops will be the Film Studios and Ait Ben Haddou. Here, movies like The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander the Great, and the popular TV series Game of Thrones were shot. Then, we will visit Ait Ben Haddou, a historic village with traditional earth architecture, located on the ancient Sahara caravan route, with high clay walls, corner towers, and narrow streets—an experience that feels like traveling back in time. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, Ait Ben Haddou offers stunning sunset views with its reddish-toned structures. Our last stop is Ouarzazate, known for hosting many Hollywood films and stars. We check into our hotel here and have free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 4: Ouarzazate – Sahara Desert (Merzouga) After breakfast at the hotel, we head towards the Sahara Desert. En route, with the desert on one side and the Atlas Mountains on the other, our first stops will be Todra Gorge and M’gouna (the Rose City). Then, we proceed to our hotel in Merzouga, in the Sahara. Upon arrival, we settle into our rooms and enjoy the desert scenery. Be sure to photograph the night sky and sunrise in the desert. Accommodation will be in desert camp. Day 5: Sahara Desert (Merzouga) – Ifrane – Fes After breakfast, we leave for Fes, at an altitude of 1,700 meters, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” due to its clean air, broad avenues, and sloped, mountain-like architecture. We will depart for Fes, the historic capital of the Berber nations, which takes its name from the city of Fes. Built around the Fez River, it is surrounded by walls and is called the “Makkah of the West.” The city center of Fes, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the largest and oldest pedestrian zones in the world. Our tour of the old city will include exquisite examples of Islamic architecture such as Bou Inania and Al Attarine Madrasas, the Andalusian Mosque, the Qarawiyyin University, an ancient higher education institution, Nejjarine Square, and craft markets. The tanneries in Medina use techniques unchanged since the Middle Ages. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 6: Fes – Blue Chefchaouen – Meknes – Rabat – Casablanca After breakfast at the hotel, join the tour of the "Magnificent Blue Chefchaouen," located in the northwest of Morocco, at the foot of the Rif Mountains. Famous for its blue-painted buildings, it is also called the “Blue City.” Every corner and street is painted in different shades of blue, attracting visitors with its natural beauty and unique atmosphere. You can explore traditional markets, artisan shops, and local restaurants as you wander through the city's narrow streets. The city reflects local culture and lifestyle; the Berber residents offer a warm welcome. The unique blue ambiance and natural beauty of Chefchaouen make it one of Morocco’s most charming and unforgettable destinations. Afterward, we head to Meknes, situated between the plains and the mountains, known as the “Yard of Minarets” with many notable architectural structures. Our city tour will include Bab Mansour, with its impressive Mannerist architecture, the Agdal Basin built by Moulay Ismail, Lahdim Square, and Dar El Makhzen (Royal Palace). Then we proceed to Rabat, the magnificent capital. Upon arrival, we will do a panoramic city tour including Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum built in honor of the current king’s grandfather, and the Royal Palace. After the tour, transfer to Casablanca and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 7: Casablanca – Istanbul After breakfast and check-out, our city tour of Casablanca begins. Morocco’s main port, the city became famous for the 1942 Hollywood film Casablanca. As the economic center of the country, it has the most population. While exploring the city streets, you will see the influence of Islamic, French, and Berber cultures. The heart of Casablanca includes Mohammed V Square, which reflects the country's history and modernity, and the Hassan II Mosque (exterior), known for its towering minaret, the second tallest in the world. We will also visit the Old Medina, famous for its open-air markets, and the beachfront area along Ain Diab and Corniche. After the tour, our guide will inform us of the departure time to the airport. Following baggage and ticket procedures, we will depart on Turkish Airlines flight TK 618 at 16:45. Arriving in Istanbul at 23:25 local time, our tour concludes.
