From Andalusia to Catalonia: A Magical Spain & Andalusia Tour

Day 1: Istanbul – Barcelona Meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal 3 hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Barcelona on Turkish Airlines flight TK1857 at 07:55. Arriving at 10:35 local time, we will start our panoramic city tour with our waiting vehicle. Among the places to see in Barcelona are La Sagrada Familia Church, Christopher Columbus Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Rambla Street, Spain and Catalonia Squares, Paseo de Gracia, Gran Via Street, Andalusian Arena, and Olympic Port. After the panoramic tour and free time, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Barcelona & Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum) After breakfast at the hotel, those who wish can join an optional tour (70 Euros) of Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum). Our tour begins in Girona, a jewel of Northern Catalonia, founded at the confluence of the Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. The city is rich historically with remains from many occupations and rulers. Built entirely of stone and well-preserved, it reflects the spirit of the past, featuring museums, churches, cobbled streets, and medieval walls. Places to see include the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, Jewish Quarter. Afterward, we head towards Figueras, known as the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dali. He established the Dali Museum here to showcase his works—over 4,000 pieces using various techniques, making it the largest Dali collection. Additionally, upon return to Barcelona, those interested can join an optional tour (60 Euros) of Gaudi’s masterpieces: Park Güell, Gothic Quarter, and El Born. This includes a guided tour of Park Güell with its natural style pathways, Gaudi’s house, and panoramic terraces, featuring the famous mosaic lizard. Afterwards, visit the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, La Boqueria Market, and other historic sites such as the Augustus Temple, Jewish Quarter, Barcelona City Hall, Cathedral, Bridge of Bisbe, Plaza de Sant Jaume. End the day with free time in Passeig del Born, the bohemian center of cafes and bars. Afterward, transfer to our hotel for overnight stay. Day 3: Barcelona – Valencia After breakfast, depart for Valencia. The third-largest city in Spain and its largest port, blending historic and modern architecture. A panoramic city tour includes the City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Science and Art Museum, Mercado Central, and old Silk Exchange. Transfer to the hotel and overnight. Day 4: Valencia – Alhambra Palace – Granada After breakfast, head to Granada. Upon arrival, start the Granada city tour including Granada Street, Bib-Rambla Square, City Hall, and outside Granada Cathedral, the former Madraza University, Silk Market, and the Nasrid Caravanserai. Then, visit Alhambra Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built on Sabika Hill in the 13th century and completed by the 15th century, it served as a fortress and palace. Known for its intricate decorations, the red fortress earned the name "Red Palace" due to the red clay brickwork. (Note: In high season, tickets for the Harem section may not be available; only the gardens may be accessible). Afterwards, optional evening tour: Sacromonte Gypsy Neighborhood and Albaicin, a historic Muslim quarter with cave houses, flamenco shows, and cultural insights. Transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 5: Granada – Córdoba – Seville Early breakfast, then depart for Seville. Explore María Luisa Park, Plaza de America, Plaza de España with its monument, and the external view of Seville Cathedral, the third largest church in the world. See the Giralda minaret, a remnant of the Moorish mosque. Guided walking tour includes the Alcázar Palace, reflecting Moorish and Christian architecture, and the Santa Cruz neighborhood with narrow streets and historic buildings. Visit Torre del Oro (Gold Tower), an old tower and former naval museum. Optional tour to Córdoba (55 Euros): cross the Guadalquivir River, walk via the Roman bridge and gate, visit the Great Mosque of Córdoba—known as the Mezquita—on 850 columns, which showcases remarkable architecture and history. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Day 6: Seville – Madrid After breakfast, depart for Madrid. On arrival, panoramic city tour including Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles Fountain, Plaza de Cibeles, Gran Via, and the Royal Palace from outside. Visit Prado Museum (exterior), Atocha Train Station, Neptune Fountain, and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Enjoy free time in the city and optional Flamenco show (55 Euros). Transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 7: Madrid – Toledo & Segovia & Las Rozas – Madrid After breakfast, optional tours: Toledo (65 Euros) and Segovia & Las Rozas (60 Euros). The Toledo tour includes the historic old city, a UNESCO site, with its medieval walls, the Toledo Cathedral, conversions of mosques into churches, sword workshops, and more. Segovia features the UNESCO-listed aqueduct, the Cathedral, Alcázar Fortress, and Jewish Quarter. After visiting Segovia, proceed to Las Rozas Village, a designer outlet shopping center with discounts on various brands. Return to Madrid for overnight. Day 8: Madrid – Istanbul After breakfast, transfer to the airport at the designated time for your flight. Baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, then departure to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines TK1826 at 18:30. Arrive in Istanbul at 00:05 local time, end of our tour.
