DAY 1 ISTANBUL-BASEL- STRASBOURG
Meeting with our esteemed guests at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal at least 3 hours before the flight. After ticket, luggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Basel with Turkish Airlines’ *** scheduled flight. Arrival in Basel at *** local time. Following passport and ticket procedures, we leave the airport to start our city tour. We are heading towards Strasbourg. A panoramic city tour begins with our arrival. Strasbourg, which holds historical significance as the place where the French National Anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, presents itself as a city where French architecture is blended with Alsace culture. We will visit the Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre-Dame, which held the title of the world’s tallest structure until 1874, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France area adorned with traditional Alsace Houses. DAY 2 STRASBOURG – EGUISHEIM – COLMAR- RIQUEWIHR – STRASBOURG
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish can participate in the optional Eguisheim & Colmar & Riquewihr tour (100 Euro). Our first stop is Eguisheim, one of the charming villages of Alsace. While wandering through the narrow charming streets and among the houses adorned with beautifully colored geraniums from their wooden windows and balconies, you will begin to get lost in tales of the past. Eguisheim, which has been a member of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" club since 2003, was chosen as “the favorite village of the French” in 2013. After our Eguisheim tour, we move on to Colmar, our second stop. Colmar, with its colorful houses, flower-adorned streets, and beauty, is one of the enchanting cities and holds great importance as the starting point of the Alsace wine route. The canals, which add beauty to Colmar, are branches of the Rhine River. The historical buildings, colorful and dating back to the 1200s, lined along the river are the most distinctive and noteworthy features of the city. During our Colmar tour, we will visit the streets that feel like a carnival, the St. Martin Cathedral with its giant stork nests, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the area known as “Petite Venise” meaning “Little Venice”. Our last stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as Alsace's most famous village... The compatibility of the wooden and concrete two-story houses made in the Alsatian style, with different colors and shapes, attracts about 2 million visitors annually. You will not be able to stop taking photographs in this wonderful city, blended with history, culture, and nature. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. DAY 3 STRASBOURG – HEIDELBERG – BADEN BADEN – STRASBOURG
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish can participate in the optional Heidelberg & Baden Baden tour organized by our guide (85 Euro). No, not all German cities look alike. If you want to see a real German city, Heidelberg, which Hegel walked through deep in thought and Goethe referred to as an ideal city, will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and nature. During our tour, we will see Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle (from the outside). After the tour, we head to Baden Baden, our second stop. Baden Baden, a stylish, aesthetic, and peaceful German city located near the Germany-France border, offers countless opportunities from hot springs to culture-art museums, opera, and theaters, and even to visit Europe’s most famous casino. The famous Russian author Dostoevsky also included parts of his own life in his novel "The Gambler," which takes place in this city. Therefore, Baden Baden is also a city that can attract the interest of literature enthusiasts. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. DAY 4 STRASBOURG – SCHAFFHAUSEN RHINE FALLS- ZURICH- LUCERNE – STRASBOURG
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish can participate in the optional Schaffhausen Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne tour organized by our guide (110 Euro). Our first stop is the Rhine Falls. After a walk around Europe's largest waterfall, with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters, accompanied by the captivating sound of water, we head to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland. Located on the shores of Lake Zurich and at the foot of the Alps, Zurich hosts millions of tourists every year due to its historical background and culture. The name of the city comes from Turus, dating back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. The city, which was under Roman occupation in the 2nd century AD, was named Turicum. When this name is translated into Swiss German, it reads as “Zuri”. According to recent data, Zurich, known as the most livable city in Europe, is also referred to as the cultural capital of Switzerland. With our arrival, we visit the Grossmünster, Fraumünster Churches, and St. Peterskirche, which is the largest clock tower in Europe, and then tour Bahnhofstrasse, known as the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we head to Lucerne. In this enchanting city, we will see the Lion Monument, commemorating the 800 Swiss soldiers who were killed while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne before concluding our tour and transferring to our hotel. DAY 5 STRASBOURG- BASEL– ISTANBUL
After breakfast at our hotel, check-out from the rooms. Free time until the time specified by your guide. Then transfer to the airport. After luggage and ticket procedures, we depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines’ *** scheduled flight. Arrival at *** Istanbul Airport and end of our tour.
