Day 1       ISTANBUL- BARI – LECCE 

Meet at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at the Turkish Airlines counter 3 hours before the flight. After baggage and ticket procedures, departure to Bari with Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, panoramic city tour. During the tour, the Cathedral and Saint Nicolas Basilica, Margarita Theater, Petruzzelli Theater, and historical city sights will be visited. After the tour, departure to Lecce. Upon arrival, city tour. Known as the Florence of Southern Italy, Lecce city tour includes visits to Santa Croce Basilica, the ancient city center, Duomo Square, Sant’Oronzo Square, and the Napoli Gate. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2          LECCE – ALBEROBELLO

After breakfast, free time. Guests can participate in the optional Otranto tour organized by our guide. Otranto is where the Ottoman fleet under Gazi Ahmed Pasha first set foot in Italy during the 1480 campaign. After the unexpected death of Sultan Mehmed II, the regency period begins, and Gazi Ahmed Pasha is summoned back to Istanbul, ending the campaign. During the tour, places such as the Otranto Cathedral with the skeletons of soldiers who died during the Ottoman siege, the Old Otranto Castle, Aragon Castle, and San Pietro Church will be visited. After the tour, travel to Alberobello. Upon arrival in Alberobello, visit the Trullo houses, UNESCO World Heritage site, known for their conical stone roofs. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel in Alberobello. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3             ALBEROBELLO

After breakfast, free time. Guests can join the arranged Puglia Villages tour. In this tour, we will first visit Locorotondo. One of the most famous villages in the region, Locorotondo begins with a visit to the Basilica. The tour includes the historic center, San Nicola Church, and San Giorgio Church. Afterwards, we proceed to Ostuni. Upon arrival in Ostuni, the city tour starts. The Ostuni Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and courtyard, city walls, Sant’Orozo obelisk, and the Town Hall are among the sights. The last destination of the tour is the coastal town Polignano a Mare. Upon arrival, we begin the city tour. The old town and Polignano a Mare beaches are among the sights. After the tour, free time to enjoy the unique beaches. Then, return to the hotel at the designated time by our guide. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4         ALBEROBELLO – NAPLES

After breakfast, depart for Naples. En route, guests can join the Matera tour. Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its cave dwellings and churches carved into the rocks, and is where Carlo Levi was exiled before. During the tour, visit the ancient city of Matera, including the churches and houses carved into the rocks. After the Matera tour, continue to Naples. Upon arrival, the city tour will include the Royal Palace built in the 16th century, San Carlo Theater known for its grand performances, the bustling Umberto I Gallery, inspired by Rome's Pantheon, San Francesco di Paola Church, Plebiscito Square, the Angevin Castle, and Naples port. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

 Day 5      NAPLES

After breakfast, free time. Guests can join the optional Amalfi Coast tour. In this tour, we will witness the breathtaking views from high cliffs and explore the colorful, charming villages overlooking the sea, with winding and steep roads, lush gardens, and turquoise waters. It is considered one of Italy’s most beautiful coastlines. The tour starts in Sorrento, one of Italy’s most romantic cities, with its green streets and flower-filled squares. Then, we go to Positano, where houses are stacked and covered with lemon orchards. Free time is provided in Positano for photos. Lunch and shopping at Amalfi. Those interested may visit the Amalfi Cathedral or explore the town on their own. Afterwards, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6         NAPLES –ISTANBUL

After breakfast, free time. Guests can join the optional Pompeii tour. Pompeii is one of the world's most famous archaeological sites, located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, which erupted in 79 AD and buried the city. Excavations, started in 1748, have uncovered the city in great detail. Sites include the Basilica, Forum, Fawn House, restaurants, baths, and bread ovens. After the tour, transfer to Naples Airport. Complete check-in for tickets and baggage, then depart with Turkish Airlines to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul marks the end of the tour.
