DAY 1 ISTANBUL – TOKYO – SHIBUYA – TOKYO
We meet at Istanbul Airport's international departure terminal three hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we depart for Tokyo on Turkish Airlines flight TK50 at 15:25. We spend the night on the plane.
DAY 2 TOKYO – SHIBUYA – TOKYO
Upon our arrival in Tokyo at 08:45 local time, we handle passport and luggage procedures and then move for a city tour of Tokyo with our private vehicle. Our first stop is Shibuya, known as the center of entertainment and cultural experiences. Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most famous and bustling neighborhoods, hosts one of the world’s busiest pedestrian crossings (Shibuya Scramble Crossing). Experiencing the unique moment when hundreds of people move at every light change offers a different kind of excitement. We will visit the Hachiko statue, commemorating a dog known for its loyalty and popular as a meeting point for both locals and tourists, and enjoy some free time in various famous shopping centers. Additionally, during our tour, we’ll see Ueno Park and Tokyo Tower from a panoramic perspective. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and enjoy some free time to rest.
DAY 3 TOKYO SENSOJI – YODOBASHI ELECTRIC TOWN AKIHABARA – GINZA – TOKYO
After breakfast, we depart from our hotel with our private vehicle. First, we visit Sensoji Temple, which was built in 645 and is considered the oldest temple in Tokyo and one of the city’s most important religious centers since the Edo period. After our visit, we head to Yodobashi Electric Town, where we can find hundreds of electronic brands at affordable prices. After allocating time for shopping, we proceed to Ginza, an area that reflects the sophisticated side of modern Japan. This area is filled with the largest shopping centers and finest restaurants where you can find world-famous brands. After our sightseeing in Ginza, we will have free time for lunch. At the time declared by our guide, transfer back to our hotel for some free time to rest.
DAY 4 TOKYO – MOUNT FUJI – HAKONE BOAT – OSHINO HAKKAI – GOTEMBA PREMIUM OUTLET – TOKYO
After breakfast, we depart for Mount Fuji, located to the southwest of Tokyo on Honshu Island and one of the symbols of the city and Japan’s highest mountain. First, we head to Hakone, famous for its views of Mount Fuji and natural beauty. We will have a boat ride on Lake Ashinoko with an incredible view of Mount Fuji. After this experience, we take a cable car to the Mototsumiya Shrine viewpoint, where we’ll stop for photos. Next, we travel to Oshino Hakkai, an area known for its natural pools formed by the underground waters merging with the melting snow. The pools, filtered naturally through volcanic rocks, maintain crystal clarity. In the reflections within these pools, you can catch stunning views of Mount Fuji. After the visit accompanied by our guide, we head towards Gotemba Premium Outlet Shopping, one of Japan's largest outlet shopping centers. At the designated time by our guide, we return to the hotel and have some free time to rest.
DAY 5 TOKYO – (SHINKANSEN) – DOTONBORI – OSAKA
After breakfast, we move from our hotel at the time indicated by our guide to the train station for our rapid (Shinkansen) journey to Osaka. We only take daily necessities with us (our large luggage will be separately transferred to our Osaka hotel by the transfer company arranged by us). After approximately 2.5 hours of travel on the high-speed train, capable of reaching speeds up to 320 km/h, we arrive in Osaka. We then conduct our city tour of Osaka, Japan's second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo. During the tour, we will see the Umeda Sky Building, consisting of two structures over 173 meters long. The Umeda Sky Building is 173 meters high and consists of two 40-story towers, which are connected at the top by an observatory platform. We will ascend to the observatory at the 39th floor and enjoy the panoramic view of Osaka. Following Umeda Sky Building, we will proceed to the Dotonbori area, which has become a vibrant and entertaining tourist attraction, blending traditional Japanese culture with modern entertainment. Osaka is known as Japan's culinary capital, and Dotonbori is filled with restaurants that confirm this title. After a delightful time spent in the area, we transfer to our hotel for some leisure hours.
DAY 6 OSAKA – ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO FOREST – KINKAKUJI TEMPLE – KIYOMIZU-DERA – FUSHIMI INARI – OSAKA
After breakfast, we set off towards Kyoto, known for its temples, gardens, and traditional neighborhoods, and the best-preserved center of Japan’s traditional culture. After approximately a one-hour travel, we begin our city tour. During World War II, Kyoto was the only city in Japan that was not bombed. The city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour begins with the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which greets visitors with its 500-meter walking path. During our stroll along this path, we will enjoy the serene sounds of the wind blowing through the bamboo and can take photographs of the forest. Next, we visit Kinkakuji Temple, a Zen temple covered entirely in gold leaf and known as the Golden Pavilion, located in northern Kyoto. Each level of this impressive structure overlooking a large pond represents a different architectural style. Following this, we proceed to Kiyomizu-dera, an independent Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto, which is one of the historic landmarks of ancient Tokyo and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Below the main hall is the Otowa Waterfall, where the waters flow into a pond through three channels, symbolizing knowledge, health, and longevity, respectively. Next, we visit Fushimi Inari, one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines, especially recognized for its thousands of orange Torii gates. After our visit to the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we enjoy a beautiful view of Kyoto city before transferring back to our hotel and having free time to rest.
DAY 7 OSAKA – NARA – TEA CEREMONY – OSAKA
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the panoramic tour of Nara. We begin with Todaiji Temple, constructed in 752 to serve as the head of all Buddhist temples. Over time, this temple's influence grew, eventually impacting politics in the 8th century. The main hall of Todaiji is recorded as the largest wooden structure in the world, housing one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues (Daibutsu). Next, we visit Nara Park, a large park at the center of Nara established in 1880, which includes many of Nara's main attractions such as Todaiji, Kasuga Taisha, Kofukuji, and the Nara National Museum. It is also home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. After a chance to take photos with the wandering deer, we participate in a traditional Tea Ceremony, where we experience the traditional Japanese tea preparation and sip our tea. After enjoying our allocated time in the area, we transfer back to our hotel for some leisure hours.
DAY 8 OSAKA – OSAKA CASTLE – OUTLET – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, we complete our hotel check-out procedures. Osaka Castle, a five-story fortress with a history of about 450 years, is not only one of the most visually stunning creations of the country but also serves as a beautiful proof of traditional Japanese architecture with its elegant designs and shapes decorating each floor. After visiting Osaka Castle, we proceed to the large outlet for our final shopping. At the time indicated by our guide, we transfer to the airport. After passport and luggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK87 at 22:30. We arrive at local time 05:20, concluding our tour.
