Day 1 Ankara - Baku

Day 2 Baku - Ateshgah - Absheron - Heydar Aliyev Culture Center
After breakfast, free time. We start our day with a visit to Ateshgah (Fire Temple), a short drive away. This religious site, one of the three Zoroastrian fire temples to have survived to the present day and considered the most important, has a fortress-like appearance. It was first built in the 3rd century AD. Since ancient times, it has been famous for the eternal fire burning here, especially during the active period of the Silk Road, and was reconstructed in the 17th century by Zoroastrian pilgrims. After this visit, we head to Absheron Yanardag (Burning Mountain) to watch the lively dance of flames. Then, we continue to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by the British-Futurist architect Zaha Hadid, which covers a vast area of 101,000 square meters. This complex, representing the rising of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijani mythology, includes theaters, conference halls, museums, and art galleries. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Some days, the cultural center may not accept visitors. Since this is not announced beforehand, our company cannot be held responsible for this situation. In such cases, it will be viewed from outside, or inside if open.) After free time, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel.
Day 3 Baku (Dinner Azerbaijani Night)
After breakfast, we leave our hotel for a Full Day Baku City Tour. The traditional and historic features of Baku are now complemented with modern architecture and cultural investments. The tour covers the Old City (Inner City), the Flame Towers, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Maiden Tower, Martyrs’ Lane, Fountains Square, and the Nizami Street. We also visit the Baku Boulevard, known as the “Little Venice,” a promenade along the Caspian Sea, built over a hundred years ago by oil barons’ mansions. In the evening, we enjoy a Dinner with Folklore Show at a local venue, featuring traditional Azerbaijani music and local cuisine. After the show, transfer back to our hotel for the night.
Day 4 Baku - Shemakha - Gabala - Shaki
After breakfast and check-out, we depart for Shemakhа (approximately 125 km). Known for its significance in the Ottoman-Persian wars and its Sassanid-era fortress, Shemakha is also famous for its wine-making and carpet weaving. We visit the historic center, including Gulustan Castle, the Yeddi Gumbez Tomb with the Shirvanshah Mausoleum, and Cuma Mosque. Then, we head to Gabala (approximately 95 km), renowned for its natural beauty, with tour stops at Nohur Lake for free time amidst mountains, forests, and waterfalls. Afterwards, we continue to Shaki (about 90 km), one of Azerbaijan’s oldest and most picturesque cities. Shaki, a mountain town with traditional culture and cuisine, features the Yukarı and Aşağı Shaki Caravanserais, historic stone and wooden buildings, the Shirvan Shah Palace, Shaki Handicrafts Workshop, Ethnography Museum, and the Shaki Castle. We visit the Shaki Khan Sarayı, religious sites such as Khan Mosque and Friday Mosque. In free time, you can taste the famous Shaki Halva with Azerbaijani tea and buy local handmade products including exquisite silk items. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and check-in.
Day 5 Shaki - Bodbe Monastery - Sighnaghi - Tbilisi
After breakfast and check-out, we move towards the Azerbaijan-Georgia border (approximately 90 km). According to border rules, the vehicle will change at the border. After completing border procedures, we proceed to visit Bodbe Monastery, one of Georgia's most important religious sites, known for its architecture and surrounding natural beauty (about 60 km). Then, we head to Sighnaghi, the “City of Love” (approximately 15 km). This charming town is famous for its restored walls called the “Gürcistan Seddi (Georgia Wall)”, the panoramic views, St. George Church, picturesque streets with well-preserved buildings, and the “Donkey Sitter’s Statue”, dedicated to the local doctor who helped villagers and became a symbol of the town. During the city tour, we will explore with electric vehicles, stopping at Kakheti viewpoints, Sighnaghi's panorama, and St. George Tower. During free time, you can explore, shop, and enjoy lunch in this beautiful town. Then, we head to Tbilisi (about 10 km). Arrival and check-in at our hotel.
Day 6 Tbilisi - Georgian Night with Dinner and Folklore Show
After breakfast, we start our full-day Tbilisi City Tour. The city continuously surprises its visitors with its offerings. We will visit Narikala Fortress, the Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, Freedom Square, Metekhi Church, Old Tbilisi (Abanotubani), Abanotubani Sulfur Baths, the Samgori district, and the St. George Statue. We will also see the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater and the Angel Clock Tower. In the evening, enjoy traditional Georgian music and local cuisine at a venue featuring a Folklore Night with Dinner. Return to our hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7 Tbilisi - Chronology Monument - Gori - Uplistsikhe - Jvari - Mtskheta - Tbilisi
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the Chronology Memorial (about 15 km). Built in 1985 and still unfinished due to ongoing additions highlighting recent significant events, this monument is a unique work. Then, we proceed to Gori (about 85 km), home to the Stalin Museum, which displays items and photographs related to Joseph Stalin, born here. You have free time in Gori before heading to the cave city Uplistsikhe (about 15 km), reminiscent of Cappadocia. Afterwards, we visit Jvari Monastery (about 65 km), built in the 6th century at the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning views and historical significance. Then, we travel to Mtskheta (about 20 km), Georgia’s ancient religious capital, known for the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where you can experience traditional Georgian wines and shop for souvenirs. Finally, return to Tbilisi for the night.
Day 8 Tbilisi - Ankara
Transfer to the airport at the time specified by our guide.
