Day 1: Ankara – Baku

Meet at Ankara Esenboğa Airport Departure Terminal, AJET Airlines counter front, at 09:30.

 

After completing outbound procedures, departure to Baku with AJET Airlines flight VF577 at 12:25. Upon arrival, we will leave the airport and start our panoramic city tour. We will see the Heydar Aliyev Center, which has become a symbol of Baku, from a panoramic view. Then, we will have a short photo stop at the Flag Square and Baku Boulevard to immortalize this moment. After visiting the newly opened area in Baku, the Old City, we will head to the hotel. Upon arrival, check-in procedures will be completed, and we will settle into our rooms. Guests who wish can join the optional evening dinner and Baku city tour.

We will see the Old City, Yayla Park (Shah's Street, Turkish Mosque, Mini Square of the Soviet Union's Dual Hero, Major General Hazi Aslanov, Flame Towers, Eternal Flame, a panoramic observation deck with magnificent views), Baku and Baku Gulf views, Baku TV Tower), Little Venice. The city tour includes walking and bus rides, starting at the walls of the Old City (with monuments such as the first national poet Sabir's monument, Nizami's monument and their establishment dates). The program also covers the Philharmonic Orchestra named after Muslum Magomaev, the building of the first women's school in the East, the City Duma, and the Vekil House in Ismailli, inspired by Venice. We will explore the famous Torgoviy Street, which resembles Baku’s Independence Street. From there, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city at Dagustu Park and then enjoy the beautiful scenery of Baku. Afterwards, we will proceed to a restaurant where dinner will be served as a set menu, allowing you to taste Azerbaijani cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Baku

In the morning, after breakfast, free time. Guests who wish can join the optional ‘Lunch and Qobustan – Mud Volcanos – Heydar Aliyev Museum Tour’ priced at 80 USD per person. Overnight stay at the hotel.

We will depart towards Gobustan, which is located approximately 65 km southwest of Baku, known as Azerbaijan's richest archaeological site and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located near the Caspian Sea, on the ancient Silk Road, Gobustan is also called an open-air museum. It provides important insights into prehistoric society life, hunting, animals, and vegetation through carved rocks and painted stones. Then, we will continue towards the Mud Volcanoes region near Gobustan, famous for having over 700 mud volcanoes, the largest in the world, where you can feel like you're in "Moon Craters". After observing live volcanic activities and exploring the region, we will return to Baku. We will visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid, which symbolically reflects the rising of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan's mythology. Built over 3.5 years, it hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, archaeological finds, ethnography sections, vintage vehicles, personal belongings of Heydar Aliyev, and official cars. With this visit, you will gain extensive knowledge of Azerbaijan’s history from past to present. Afterwards, we return to our hotel.

Day 3: Baku

After breakfast, free time. Guests interested can join the optional “Atashgah, Volcano & Historic Baku Villages Tour” costing 90 USD and the “Dinner and Azerbaijani Night with Music” tour for 60 USD.. Then, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Located 30 km from Baku city center, in Surakhani village at the foot of the Eternal Fire Temple (17th-18th centuries), revered by Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs. It emerged in the 17th-18th centuries. The “Eternal” unquenchable fires gave the temple its name, referring to natural gas outlets known as “Fire House” or “Fire Place”. This site offers significant insights into prehistoric and medieval society life, hunting, animals, and flora through carved rocks and painted stones. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Baku’s historic villages, including the Ethnic Qala Museum, Mardakan Fortress, and Ramana Fortresses. We will then return to the hotel.

 

Optional Tour: Dinner and Azerbaijani Night with Music – 60 USD

Enjoy an evening full of dance, music, and entertainment with a set menu dinner at our selected restaurant.

 

Day 4: Baku – Ankara

After breakfast, complete check-out procedures, and enjoy free time until the transfer time determined by our guide. Transfer to the airport, complete ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, and board the AJET flight VF578 to Ankara. Upon arrival at Esenboğa Airport, the tour ends.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • To benefit from advantageous prices in extra tour packages, payment must be made to the local agency staff during the tour.
  • Extra tours require a minimum participation of 15 persons. If participation is below 15, tour prices may change or tours might be conducted via metro. Our guide may change the dates of the extra tours while maintaining the same content.
  • In cases where the program lists only category information without specifying hotel names or provides similar options, the name of the hotel(s) will be notified by your agency at least 48 hours before the departure of the tour.
  • During the tour, the guide will meet guests at the disembarkation area; the guiding service included in the package only covers panoramic city tours and round-trip transfers. Extra tours include guiding service as well. During extra tours, other guides may accompany our guests.
  • In fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified km. In such cases, information will be provided by BTB Tours at least 2 days before the departure date of the tour.

 

  • Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are designed to introduce the cities generally and involve no entrance to museums or ruins; they are max 2-3 hour tours from the vehicle with guided narration.
  • Since local authorities may close sights or roads, or unforeseen events may occur, some tours or parts of tours may not be realized. BTB Tours is not responsible for such situations. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot to suitable points if the roads or access are restricted.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • The tour program specified at reservation must be communicated to guests along with the general terms and conditions presented below. BTB Tours is not responsible for any complaints arising from these information. Guests are deemed to have read and accepted all these conditions in advance.
  • Guests traveling with a green passport of Turkey must renew their passports if their issuance date is more than 10 years old; otherwise, they may be denied entry to the destination country or the airline may refuse transportation. In such cases, liability rests with the passenger, and BTB Tours bears no responsibility.
  • Passports that are torn, worn, wet, or damaged may cause issues at border controls of the destination country; therefore, they should be renewed. If a visa is required for Turkish citizens, it must be in a new passport. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.
  • Guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the return flight date. Otherwise, any issues are the guest’s responsibility.
  • BTB Tours acts as an intermediary between the passenger and consulates. The visa approval is at the discretion of the consulate; BTB Tours is not responsible if a visa is denied. BTB Tours only functions as an intermediary. Personal visa applications are undertaken without liability or obligation on BTB Tours’ part. Customers accept these conditions at booking.
  • Guests applying for visas through BTB Tours must verify the accuracy of all information on the visa (such as hotel confirmation, flight ticket details, etc.). BTB Tours is not responsible for errors or discrepancies that might prevent travel.
  • Visa applicants are required to prepare necessary documents (hotel confirmation, flight, etc.) which generally takes 1 working day. Guests must plan accordingly; BTB Tours is not responsible for delays or issues.
  • If a guest cancels or does not participate in the booked tour, visa and service fees are non-refundable. If the guest obtained the visa and/or visa services through BTB Tour Visa department and these services were listed as additional services in the travel contract, BTB Tours may refund the remaining amount excluding visa fees and related charges within 1 week after submitting the passport with the used visa, in case the tour is canceled due to insufficient participation or other reasons. If the guest obtained the visa through personal or third-party channels, no refund is given.
  • Flight routes may vary depending on arrival city. Flight type and time are subject to change. Hotels during high season or special periods may vary in availability; similar hotels may be provided. These conditions are notified at the time of contract, and guests accept the risks of schedule and hotel changes.
  • Triple rooms are assigned based on hotel availability. Additional beds are on asterisked basis; the third bed is smaller than a standard bed. Full triple bed guarantees are not provided; in case of available rooms, hotels may block a suitable room according to availability.
  • Child discounts are valid only for children staying with two adults.
  • Hotels serve continental breakfast, not Turkish breakfast. Continental breakfast consists of butter, jam or honey, bread, tea or coffee, and fruit juice.
  • Group breakfasts may be served in a separate hall.
  • During reservation/booking, the name, surname, date of birth, passport number on the travel document must be verified and entered into the system. Flight tickets are issued based on this information. Errors in data may cause ticket cancellations or changes, for which the guest is responsible.
  • Guests must have a foreign travel health insurance valid from at least one day before the start of the trip until at least one day after the end of the trip and carry the relevant policy documents.   • City panorama tours are designed to introduce the cities and do not include entrance fees or visits to museums/ruins; they are approximately 2-3 hour tours from the vehicle with guided narration.
  • Weather conditions, local closures, or unexpected situations may prevent some tours or parts of tours. BTB Tours is not responsible for such situations. Some tours may be conducted via public transport or on foot if roads are restricted or access is limited.
