1. DAY ISTANBUL – MADRID Meeting with our valued guests 3 hours before the flight time at the Pegasus Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Madrid on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. After our tour, we continue our journey to Madrid. We begin our panoramic Madrid city tour with the large square called Plaza Mayor. In this square there are 136 buildings and 437 balconies opening onto courtyards. In the past, bullfights and people burned by the Inquisition were watched from these balconies. Among the places to be seen are the heart of the city, Puerta del Sol, the large square called Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Oriente where the Royal Palace addresses the public, the Alcala Gate built as an entrance gate to show the city’s wealth, Gran Via with its gallery-covered roofs, Plaza Colon, Cibeles Square and Fountain, and the Cervantes Monument. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 2. DAY MADRID After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Then our guests may join the optional Toledo Tour. Toledo is a true open-air museum and the former capital of Spain, and one of the most important cities on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Its magnificent cathedral houses works by world-famous painters and has become one of the world’s leading museums. Known as the city of El Greco, Toledo has remained unchanged since the 16th century. Buildings bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Arab, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, El Greco’s paintings, typical pastry shops, Damascene shops, and of course its famous cathedral make it a very attractive place to visit. Another tradition in Toledo is the production of almond paste, which dates back to the time when the Arabs conquered the city. A visit to Toledo would not be complete without tasting this delicious sweet. After our walk in the Jewish quarter, we depart for Madrid. Accommodation at our hotel. 3. DAY MADRID – BARCELONA After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Barcelona by private bus. Along the way, our guests may join the optional Zaragoza Tour organized by our guide. During the tour, the Ebro River, Pilar Cathedral, the city’s main cathedral, La Seo Cathedral, San Pablo Church, Plaza España, and the Pilar Bridge are among the places to be seen. After the tour, we continue our journey. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic Barcelona city tour. The capital of the Catalonia Autonomous Community and the second-largest city in Spain, home to the magnificent works of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, attracts tourists at a rate four times its population because of the works it possesses. Among the places to be seen are La Sagrada Familia, also known as the “Unfinished Church,” Spain and Catalunya Squares, Gaudí’s Houses (Casa Batlló and Casa Milà), Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla Street, and Port Olímpic. After the city tour, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, our guests may join the Barcelona Night & Gothic Quarter Tour organized by our guide. On this tour, we will have the opportunity to see the illuminated version of Barcelona, known as the city that never sleeps in Europe. Then we head to the Gothic Quarter, which we have not visited before. In this district, after visiting Barcelona Cathedral, the Temple of Augustus, and the famous street of the area, Carrer del Bisbe, free time for dinner. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 4. DAY BARCELONA After breakfast, our guests may join the Girona & Figueres & Mercat de la Boqueria Tour organized by our guide. We begin our tour in Girona, which is situated on the banks of the Onyar River and at first glance resembles Florence, the richest city in the region. This charming medieval city, worth seeing for its narrow streets and cathedral, is also the filming location of the movie Perfume. During our panoramic tour, we will see the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, the houses with mezuzahs, the Jewish Quarter, La Rambla, and the famous shops. After free time, we continue to Figueres with the scenery of the Pyrenees. This town has such an impressive atmosphere that it inspired the internationally admired rebellious painter Salvador Dalí throughout his life. Here we will visit the museum house decorated by the hands of the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dalí himself. In this museum, where each work is valued at millions of dollars, and where his immortal love Gala is depicted, we visit the museum containing his mind-bending works, followed by free time. Then we head to La Rambla Street in the city center. Our next stop is Mercat de la Boqueria, the market located on Barcelona’s most touristic street, La Rambla. Considered Spain’s most famous shopping spot, and where the word “mercat” means “market” in Spanish, it is one of the most authentic places where you can experience the shopping culture of the country and observe the habits of the local people. We give free time here. In the evening, guests who wish to spend time in an entertaining atmosphere may join the Flamenco Night. Accommodation at our hotel. 5. DAY BARCELONA – ISTANBUL After breakfast, transfer to Barcelona Airport depending on the flight time. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, depart for Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Arrival in Istanbul and end of the tour.
