1. DAY                         BARCELONA Meeting with our valued guests 3 hours before the flight time at the Pegasus Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, we depart for Barcelona on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour of Barcelona. The capital of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, famous for the magnificent works of the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, attracts four times its population in tourists thanks to its outstanding monuments. Among the places to be seen are La Sagrada Familia, also known as the “Unfinished Church,” Spain Square and Catalunya Square, Gaudí’s Houses (Casa Batlló and Casa Milà), Catalunya Square, La Rambla Street, and Port Olímpic. After the city tour, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, our guests may join the Barcelona Night & Gothic Quarter Tour organized by our guide. In this tour, we will have the opportunity to see Barcelona in its illuminated form, known as the city that never sleeps in Europe. Then we proceed to the Gothic Quarter, which we have not visited before. In this district, after visiting Barcelona Cathedral, the Temple of Augustus, and Carrer del Bisbe, the area’s most famous street, there will be free time for dinner. Then transfer to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 2. DAY                         BARCELONA After breakfast at the hotel, our guests may join the Girona & Figueres & Mercat de la Boqueria Tour organized by our guide. We begin our tour with Girona, built on the banks of the Onyar River and reminiscent of Florence at first glance, the richest city in the region. A charming medieval town with narrow streets and a cathedral worth seeing, Girona is also the city where the movie Perfume was filmed. On our panoramic tour, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, the houses with mezuzahs, the Jewish Quarter, La Rambla, and famous shops. After free time, we head toward Figueres, with views of the Pyrenees mountains along the way. The town has such an impressive atmosphere that it inspired the great boundary-breaking artist Salvador Dalí throughout his life. Here we will visit the museum-house decorated by the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dalí himself. In this museum, where each work is valued at millions of dollars, we will visit the museum that contains his mind-bending works and the painting of his immortal love Gala, after which there will be free time. Then we move to the city center and to La Rambla Street. Our next stop is Mercat de la Boqueria, the market place located on Barcelona’s most touristic avenue, La Rambla. Considered Spain’s most famous shopping spot, this “mercat,” meaning “market” in Spanish, is one of the most authentic places where you can experience the shopping culture and observe the habits of the local people. Free time will be given here. In the evening, guests who wish to spend time in a lively atmosphere may join the Flamenco Night. Accommodation at our hotel. 3. DAY                         BARCELONA – MADRID After breakfast at the hotel, we depart by private coach for Madrid. On the way, our guests may join the Zaragoza Tour organized by our guide along the route. In our tour, the Ebro River, the city’s central cathedral Pilar Cathedral, La Seo Cathedral, San Pablo Church, Plaza España, and Pilar Bridge will be among the places seen. After the tour, we continue our journey to Madrid. Our panoramic Madrid city tour begins with the large square called Plaza Mayor. This square has 136 buildings and 437 balconies opening onto its courtyards. In the past, bullfights and people burned by the Inquisition were watched from these balconies. The heart of the city, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace’s public address square Plaza de Oriente, the Alcala Gate built as an entrance to showcase the city’s wealth, Gran Via with its gallery-lined roofs, Plaza Colón, Cibeles Square and Fountain, and the Cervantes Monument are among the places to be seen. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 4. DAY                         MADRID After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Afterwards, our guests may join the Toledo Tour organized. Toledo is a true open-air museum and Spain’s former capital, one of the most important cities on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The country’s most magnificent cathedral houses works by world-famous painters and competes with some of the world’s leading museums. Known as the city of El Greco, Toledo has managed to remain unchanged since the 16th century. Buildings bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Arab, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, El Greco’s paintings, typical pastry shops, Damascene shops, and of course its famous cathedral make it a must-see tourist destination. Another tradition in Toledo dates back to the time when the Arabs conquered the city: the production of marzipan. A visit to Toledo would not be complete without tasting this delicious sweet. After a walk through the Jewish Quarter, we head back to Madrid. Accommodation at our hotel. 5. DAY                         MADRID – ISTANBUL After breakfast, transfer to Madrid Airport depending on the flight time. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, departure for Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Arrival in Istanbul and end of our tour.
